I went to a past life regression seminar once and found out that in a former life I was a skeptic.

Personally I think I must have been evil in my "former life" as I'm sure making amends in this lifetime. Smile Smile Smile

Apparently I look enough like a large portrait of Admiral Nelson that some of my in-laws actually screamed when they saw it. I've always had a "thing" about being at sea under sail - so who knows? Does anybody know if you are supposed to resemble previous incarnations? Human to human I mean, not if you were a golden retriever or something...

In a past life I was a Court Jester for Henry the 8th. Until one day, I made his "Jewels" disappear and then it was off with my head.

Actually, that's basically true! That's the Pacific behind me. I grew up on the Atlantic coast, in a house about 150 feet from the ocean.

I saw that portrait on the web recently by the way, and it even scared me. The face is an exact match. I could use it as an avatar and anyone who knows me would swear it is appropriate. Quite creepy really, I'm going to have to investigate the potential for bizarre magic with it. It's not just that one either; one of the other portraits of him even has the head position and expression of my current avatar!

Old West gambler and gunslinger, of course!

In fact, I think that Doc Holiday and I met once. Sometimes I get the idea that by my tastes in fine foods, Diamond Jim Brady and me are one in the same!

Ellen. Maybe it was my second life, I was born in 1939.
There may be snow on the roof but there's still fire in the furnace.

Well you asked.
Several years ago I called into a radio program with a past life expert guest. Upon speaking with me (no specific questions) she said I was a Cobbler or a person who makes or repairs shoes for Royalty.
Well the scarry thing about that is I've always disliked having to shop for shoes or sneakers. I really can't stand shoestores. If there is something to this past life stuff, they must hav worked me to the bone with their footwear.
I've never collected a closet full of shoes like some people. It's just not a priority for me. Going to a shoestore is something I will avoid as long as I can. Not because I'm cheap, but it's a painful and boring experience for me. Just hate it.
Over the years, I've kept a couple of black and brown dress shoes and a couple of casual pair. Those who know me well have seen how obsessed I am about their proper care (manual shine--very time consuming, shoe trees, travel bags, and shoe boxes). I don't do all of that because I love shoes, I do it to avoid those dern shoe stores.

Good topic. My youngest son (12) was recently asking me about 'deja vu'. Apparently he's been doing one or two things and thought - "I've done this before". Not talking about riding his bike, working his Playstation, or sitting on the toilet by the way (you know what I mean)!
