Yup, saw that....my question remains relevant (in other words, I'm not good with photoshop)

I am sure someone will be able to help. That being said, though I do know of Magicians who perform Paul Wilsons Predator Wallet with UK notes, (Which makes it INCREDIBLY expensive), my story for learning it on my travels, and ending with a gag of a business card with the card spelt in Japanese whilst continuing on my travels fits it well, so for me, currency isn't a huge issue. I feel it is when performing coin Magic, but not when performing an effect where the effect is essential that your own currency must be used

Hey guys...my wife and I are in the middle of "a move" so my internet access is limited. I will address as much as I can.
Curretly it is only available in U.S. currency. If you were good at Photoshop or have access to a scanner or color printer you could certainly create you own. Just be aware of the laws in your country. I "think" that HP is working on a Euro version...but I am not for sure? In any case you could always "frame" the trick around a time you visited the U.S. or something similiar to make the U.S. bills make sense? Can this be done close up? This actually started out many years ago as a close up trick. In the 20 page instruction booklet I outline several versions for many different performance environments. These days this is primarly a stand up effect for me... Difficulty level? Well that depends...the method is super easy...and I have even written up my entire corporate presentation (word-for-word) incuding my very special "closing remarks" for all my shows. There are no real sleights to mention. The method is basic...this allows you to focus on the two things that matter most...your audience...and your presentation. If you have two hands you can do this! I hope this addresses all the questions...got to get back to my move! Cody S. Fisher

So the simple, technical answer is: YES, you could use currencies other than the USA $... There are, however, some BUTs... I don't want to say more because, as you know, this little gem has not even hit the market, yet... I can say that what I like the most is that the presentation and the effect itself sail smoothly from start to end in a simple and straight to the point way. And this is how all effects should play before an audience.

I have a couple of questions please.
1. Are the two $100 bills handed to the volunteer before the card has been selected? 2. If the answer to the above question is YES, then does the Magi touches/ comes in contact with the bills at anytime after the card has been selected? I ask the above questions, since the ad states that specially printed Bills & a Gimmick are used to perform the trick and hence it should hopefully meet the above criteria. An answer will be much appreciated, if not I do understand. Thanks.

This is probably a stupid question, but the bills you use are real, at least from the perspective of the audience, correct?

O.K. just got back in town...but I'm leaving again tonight!
I'll try to answer the questions... Ustaad asked: 1. Are the two $100 bills handed to the volunteer before the card has been selected? **The answer is YES...However to clarify...The bills are not actually handed to the volunteer...The two $100 bills are wrapped around the card box with a rubber band. The card box (with the attached bills) are handed to the volunteer before any card is selected. I hope that is clear? 2. If the answer to the above question is YES, then does the Magi touches/ comes in contact with the bills at anytime after the card has been selected? **From the audience's point of view NO...they will remember the onstage volunteer holding the bills the entire time...but of course there is some sneaky stuff going on behind the scenes! ;-) Gregory57 asked: This is probably a stupid question, but the bills you use are real, at least from the perspective of the audience, correct? **When reading "magic ads" there is no such thing as a 'stupid question' my friend! As far as the audience is concerned the bills are (look) real. Even from a few feet away the specially printed bills look GREAT! The focus however is never on the bills until the very end of the effect...and at that point all attention is on what is written on the bills! Even if someone were to notice the bills were not real...it would not take away from the effect. Anyway, I hope this answers those questions...I am in the middle of a move and a road show tour...I will try to answer questions when I have access to the net! Take care my friends, Cody S. Fisher

That's one of the reasons everyone loves Cody on the Café: He doesn't skirt around questions or get mad at anyone for asking questions.
And everything he releases to the magic fraternity has been a staple of his act, close-up or stage. On the tricks section, Cody reports these started shipping last week. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=109&2

Plus, I still don't see why you could not use REAL BILLS.
Maybe a little expensive? Maybe! BUT just ONCE! Then you are always good to go...

As I've said, Cody releases effects that come straight from his act. They are audience tested long before coming to market.

Yes, I'm a big fan of Cody's thinking too. There is little on the other threads in way of a review. I really like the premise of this and fortunately work were I can use US dollars while away from home. I also want to be able to make a set with photoshop in my own countries currency as well. I was hopeing for an in depth review before I ordered, I guess I'll just have to fly blind on this one

It's a solid 9 out of 10. As I wrote on the other thread, it's a tad expensive when you consider the costs of his materials, but I suppose we have to give up some $$ for clever ideas (it's easy to criticize as expensive holding it in your hand; harder to conceive and test yourself). The trick is a very clever handling of an old prop, but with new drama and a kicker (when you see it, you'll kick yourself for not thinking of it - if I was a better mentalist I could kick myself beforehand and come up with the trick . . .). The $100 bills are a little cheesy (and yes, if you're good with photoshop you can "print" some other denominations (but you'll have to deviate some from the real design for legal reasons - another explanation for the cheesy dollars, I suppose), but you'll understand that providing real bills would drive cost into the thousands. . . The handling allows you to get the right bills into the spectator's hand without any real slights (you do your dirty deeds behind the cover of your case while going for the humorous sponge bricks which you throw among the crowd). I don't know how Fisher did it, but his routine somehow takes the heat off the cards and the cash and let you naturally flow through it and baffle them at the end. There's nothing weak about this except that it is a little expensive. It's a killer routine which "dresses up" an old prop, misdirects audience suspicions, and offers a wonderful kicker which leaves audience members sighing "No Way!"

Many thanks Mumblemore, I agree with you, if the routine is well thought out and handed to you on a plate then its worth the money. I'll be ordering it!
