Has anyone ever had a significant problem with an eBay seller not sending the product?
I bought an item which the seller indicated was shipped via USPS insured mail. Three months later I have not received the item. I know there are programs set-up by eBay to protect buyers but what other recourse do I have? I filed a claim with the USPS and am waiting to hear from them. How does this work? Will the postal service be able to track the delivery? I'm afraid the seller may have addressed the package wrong but don't know... The item was a one-of-a-kind and I've been looking for it for years!! AHHH!

I had the same problem.....I got the runaround from everyone so I just chalked it up as a loss. Sorry to hear.

I once got ripped off with a video editing kit off of Ebay. It came missing all the wires and didn't work at all. The guy described it in the auction as "complete in pefect working order". He even gave me his phone number because it took 45 days to get here... and everytime I tried to call his house, he would hang up or curse at me.

Use PayPal, or don't send the money after you recieve the product. This happened to me many years ago (about 1 LOL!) but I sent the laptop, and when I recieved the check, IT BOUNCED! So I lost $500.:-(so remember always wait until you get your product before sending the item).

WilliamWHolcomb, you can file a claim but they will deduct $25 from you as their claims fee. I was ripped off for a $40 item, I was reimbursed $15.
Vinsmagic was ripped off by a member on THIS VERY FORUM, so it's not just ebay! The sad part is, the person who ripped off vinsmagic still posts regularly on the Café! Be careful with who you trade/buy/sell with.
