I'm hoping to make it to the midnight showing tomorrow. I think Christian Bale did a great job in the last one and I'm really looking forward to seeing what Ledger brings in this one.

The History Channel just did a documentary on the mentality of Batman and his biggest foes. Of course, most of it was padding for "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight."

It's going to be a disappointment, nothing but hype, no substance. How many Batman/Joker movies do we really need ?

Heard strong disagreement with that from a friend who went to an industry screening a couple of weeks ago. He said it was outstanding.

From what I've see in ads, it's more of how I pictured the characters when reading the comic books back in the 60s and 70s. A bit more realistic perhaps.
I look forward for some reviews from you guys. |

I was just messing around (surprised that more didn't bite). I almost went to the midnight showing last night but figured I would be worth less than usual at work today. So I will probably see it this weekend.

Saw it last night at midnight.
It was well made. Story line was a little busy, but still a great movie. |

Heath Ledger's finest hour. Unfortunately,it was also his final hour because he is deceased. This is certainly an Unusual film in that the Villain is more impressive than the hero!

Brilliant!!!!!! Just got back, and brilliant is the only word to describe the cast, the effects, and the overall film. This film is a true work of art and Ledger gives one of the finest screen performances I have ever seen.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. One of the best movies I've taken in at the theater in ages. Just a high-caliber production on all levels. All of the Oscar buzz for Heath Ledger would still be just as big even if he hadn't died. Just amazing, and a truly frightening portrayal of the Joker.
This is one I'll definitely go back and see again while it's still on the big screen. I notice that the film has already received through-the-roof rankings on IMDb, and is now the #3 movie on the Top 250 list. It's the only movie from the 21st century to make the top 10. It's currently ranked only behind The Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather.

It's a great film, but I feel that many people say it's the best film they have seen because of the tragic passing of Heath Ledger. Having said that, there is no doubt that it's a fantastic movie. The seen with the Joker in a body-bag apparently caused some controversy. It was a fantastic film to end the career of a fantastic actor, and the Joker was a brilliant creation.
Come on, it's better than the Shawshank Redemption. I couldn't stand that movie. Aleister |
