"I Know U" looks pretty good as well...

You must really express your "ability" to read people though.
People have been calling me "Yu" lately. I don't know, must be Chinese.

Lot of bold stuff that needs practice and some items aren't 100% success rate.

A lot of people will not recognise just what there is here. I am very impressed with John's thinking, as he has come up with a couple of wonderful ways to invisibly cue a participant - without them realising they are being cued. It is BEAUTIFUL and BRILLIANT. Yes I needed to shout there. It's that good.

Seriously, this needs to be taken and worked on and thought about and developed to each his own, as there are some incredible possiblities with these ideas - and the routines and linguistics have already been worked out for you by John. You just need to adapt it to yourself and your style.
The basic techniques are not new, but their context and use really are.

As for the card work, well, I like most of it, and I am already using one of the great open prediction pieces in there (the guided, actually). One of the cueing methods is in the card book, by the way. It's worth it just for that.

For me the best thing was the ways of cueing without them knowing they are being cued. Excellent work John!

Hey...

Thanks for the comments psychicturtle, and it's great to hear that you like these, and think highly of them.

Reception is something that means a lot to me, and so to hear good things about that is excellent, but I'm also really glad to see that the most interesting thing to you within the card manuscript was the invisible cuing method, as this is what I consider to be the most valuable thing within, and was hoping that others would see the true worth and potential of such a thing.

CardWiz... I would love to hear your favourite and least favourite pieces within the card manuscript, fill us in when your ready, look forward to hearing from you.

PS: All those who purchased either of the pieces, or both... check your inboxes this coming thursday, for a supplement for each will be there for you at some point throughout the day. Ive been working on these for the last few days, and think you'll enjoy what the have to offer.

Thanks for the comments everone.

Cheers.

Hey...

Im a little behind on things, but in a way this will work out for the better... the 'Shattering Minds' supplement will now be ready this coming sunday, not today as was planned. That's the bad news as far as that goes, with the good news being that due to this slight delay, I am able to add video clips.

'Reception' is having the same treatment, and so it will be delayed also until this sunday, but again this will allow me to include video clips, which is something I would like to be able to do, and will be better for you also.

Thanks, I will send them out toeverone who has purchased throughout sunday.

Cheers.

I agree with Thom's sentiments here. I have only cracked the spine (or so to speak) on this ebook, but this idea seems fantastic. I am dying to give this a try. I can't imagine a more clean looking technique/method. In essence, you instruct your spectator to focus their eyes and minds and then they can reveal information that they could not have possibly known.

What is really great about this method is that it can be applied to any number of ideas and routines. This is one of those ideas you think... that is too cool, it just can't work. But I believe it can and I can't wait to work with this. If I can get this to work reliably, I can't imagine a much more effective method.

I can't wait to get to work with this technique. Thanks John!

Hey...

Hard to say as this will be down to the performer, but yes, in my eyes it is sure-fire.
Reception is a way of invisibly giving someone some information and having them write/draw/do what you desire, but they are not 'in on it' so to speak, and the effect is the same for all, all will be amazed, and no-one will be in the know.
There are so many possibilities, if you read some of the comments so far you will see this, it really is one of my most favourite things.

Sure-fire or not though, it's difficult to give a 100% accurate answer, but honestly, if done correctly it WILL work, and I have honestly never had this go any other way.

Got this on a whim a day ago.

I was honestly expecting to be disappointed. Some thoughts on the pieces I found most interesting:

Breathless is something I am working on perfecting.I never thought on using a technique like this before. It can be applied to so many things and make you look as good as Darren Brown in some instances. Its amazing that such a concept would allow for hands off card work and predictions.

The Guided is an open prediction worth knowing because it produces stunning results from little to no work. I am a lazy dude at times.

ACAAN: I literally laughed when I read it because it bold and makes it fun to perform rather than some of the acaans out there, most notably, that pile of steaming cowdung from Frank Velasco, the grail.

John's acaan has a moment of dirtywork that can easily be misdirected by a larger movement such as gesturing the spectator with the cards to come forward. If you have the book you'll know what I mean.

There are quiet a few others here that I really like but I'll let you discover them. The book has a nice feel to it in the way that John writes. He comes across as very personable. It makes reading it a little more enjoyable. Most of the effects are a breath of fresh air instead of the usual " stack the cards in the CHASED order, now Elmsley count , then double lift etc "

This book got me a little more interested in John's works so I did a search on his posts in here and I found he has some of the most detailed reviews and gives an honest opinion (read his review on cloudbusting). I hope to see more from this young man.

Best,
Frank.

Hey...

Cheers for the great review Frank, I'm really happy you like it and feel that way, it feels really good to hear comments such as yours, thanks.

Wow, looks like I sent you the original version as 'Breathless' is now called 'Take My Breath Away' and 'The Guided' was removed... not sure how I managed to send that version to you as I deleted it from my comp, but seeing as you have it, enjoy.

Cheers.

I would like to announce that 'Shattering Minds Part One: Impromptu Card Material' is being scrapped... it's getting ripped apart and being fully reconstructed.

The new version is something I have been hammering a way at, and it won't be known by it's previous title... it will also contain vid clips to help with any sleights.
Everyone who has purchased Shattering Minds will automatically be getting this new one, and it is still based fully on impromptu card material.
It will not however contain the items using the cuing technique, as I honestly believe that deserves a much bigger piece done on it, going indepth on all that's possible and a whole range of effects/routines.
The Guided will not be in it either.

So what will be in it... well from the original will be Not A Sure Thing, Not Another Open Prediction, AcAAn, Reality Replacement, Mates, I Know You, Subliminally Sublime, and variations of... then there will be another 6 pieces, of which you'll find out more soon.

I know I said the supplements will be done today, but I have not been working on supplement for this, but this new manuscript, and though it's not ready for tonight (which I was hoping, but I get a bit carried away and it needs a tad longer), I promise it will be sent to all previous purchasers on Wed, as well as purchase.
I give my word this will be here then, and I'll let you know the full contents tomorrow or tuesday... I am sure that those who enjoyed Shattering Minds will feel this is a much better impromptu card manuscript.

Those who do have Shattering Minds, I will be offering the full work on the cuing technique that was within, for half price. This will contain so much more, and will do justice to the technique.
More info to come.

Reception owners, due to how hard ive been working, reworking the Shattering Mind manuscript, I am afraid the supplement (bonus manuscript really) will not be here until the end of the week, but on Friday you all will have it, I give my word on this and will not let you down.

Sorry if this causes any inconvenience to anyone, I'm trying my best and working hard to get everything done, and can say for sure that what ive said here now is final.

PS: All who have Reception... I'd love to hear from you when you have had some fun with the technique, it would be great to hear of some performance stories or just how it went, as well as the way in which you utilized it. Shoot me a PM or email me when your ready, I really would love to hear from you.

Cheers.

Thanks...

I am sending along Reception to you now.

I hope you enjoy and please remember you can contact me at any time to chat about this piece.

On another note, I would like to ask those who purchased my OCD booklet from a while back, to contact me and state which of either 'Reception' or the new manuscript you'd like, and you will receive this free of charge. If I don't hear from you I will send one along to you of my choosing.
Ive been so caught up in all this that it seems I have forgotten about all of you, and for that I'm sorry, and so would like to offer a choice as to which manuscript you would like.
If you pick the new manuscript, remember it will not be available until Wed.
Reception is always available.

Cheers.

Hey...

Just letting it be known that I will begin sending out the manuscripts momentarily, though the vids may be a while as I'm having problems my end uploading them etc, gonna have to muck about with them and get the size down etc... the links will be sent as soon as I have them up and working, but the manuscripts will be with you shortly.

Cheers.
