Hi all,
I own and use an obscene amount of Axtell puppets, but in particular I use the Buzzard. He is in all my shows and he is wildly popular. I recently contacted Steve Axtell to see whether he'd be willing or able to make me up some miniture plush versions of the buzzard so I could give them to the birthday boy/girl at parties or even offer them for sale after public shows. I know the kids would absolutely go ape for a little version of the Buzzard to take home. So I wondered if any of you folks who use an Axtell character regularly would also benefit from little versions of your character if you could get them? What do you reckon? I've contacted Steve three times over the past month about it but haven't had a reply yet (does anyone know if he's away?), but I thought if there were a number of people who showed interest in this kind of thing, he might see it as worth while. Thanks guys Billy James |

Hi,
That's a great idea Billy ![]() I have a similar idea with my figures and puppets... ![]() But instead of just plain dolls...I was thinking of hand puppets ![]() ![]()

Hey Wanlu,
Great idea! Hand puppets would be really good. Thinking about it, I wouldn't even mind if they were hard rubber and made to fit onto the end of a pencil (you know those things?) Just on the 'where is Steve' scenario. You wouldn't believe it but as I was typing the above post an email arrived from him, and yep, he is currently away. Cheers Billy |

Yeah...sorry I have been just swamped with work on the Hands-Free and preparing for the conventions (4 of them). I have had plans to do some small plush of our characters for uses such as this. It's a big and expensive project to get the set up. I've done it before...here is an example of our "Norman the Bird" puppet made into a plush from our DVD AxTelevision.... http://www.axtelevision.com/normanplush.jpg
The reason it's expensive is that it takes an order of 2,500 or more, plus a lot of back and forth direction with the design approvals. We need to make sure they represent our characters well, and need to know that we would have enough purchases from customers like you that it would be worth doing. We are considering it for our most popular characters. One of these days. Ax

That is so cool Steve.
I think if you do this project, you wont regret it. ![]() The only roblem is which characters you will start with...Im guessing Vern, the apes and the turtle would be a very good start ![]()

Actually I reckon the Buzzard would be a good place to start!
