Hi all, this is my review for the first item from a new store at Buskergear.com
It's a vest designed for magicians and street performers here it is! Well made and well designed were my first impressions of workers vest. The vest itself is build to be durable and will last for a long time. the pockets are perfectly sized and made stiff so that they are extremely easy to find and used. I performed some jumbo coin ditches right away with no practice, I had no difficulty locating the pockets. This feature is particularly effective on the breast pocket. The breast pocket can be accessed from the inside or outside of the vest. inside the vest you can open up the bottom of the pocket allowing items to drop into the topit. I have found this is a very nice feature that allows some easy loading in Item to impossible location plots. Next there is the flip stick ditch in the back. very smooth. the pocket is wide and easy to load. With practice I think it can be done quickly with very good angles. Now the best part for me is the TWO large topits. I Would call these a traditional style topit but easy to use. they are long going each way to your back. there is a thumb tip ditch pocket in the left side topit that you can doubly use to prop open the front and use a magnet on your shirt toward the back. I had no problem's hitting the topit consistently with my first day of use. With the right side of the top I carry production loads. this allows me to vanish items into one topit and had production items in the other. other features: ( there are so many its hard to think of them all at once! ) right pocket TT ditch. steal a thumb tip. ditch a thumb tip. works perfect. left side topit opening. it has a ledge so stuff can not fall out. iv been experimenting using this to steal a jumbo coin from the topit. working very well. if you do the cups and balls.... this makes loading oh so easy right side opening. total open on this side allow from some lighting fast easy loading. stick a reel in that sucker and you got it going on. I am more then pleased with my workers vest. I am already planning on buying a second in a different color. take my advice and get in line now, these puppies are HOT! available buskergear.com |

Joshua, the website provides minimal info, does it come as you describe it at the listed price or did you pay additional for any of these features. I see you are in Cincy do you have a local venue you work where I may see it in action.

It comes as I described. I know he has these hand made, and mentioned that some additional features could be requested
I think he some some addition features like a back pouch type of things and maybe others. I just got mine last week so I don't have any video on venue, and I do more private shows then public busking...for now at least. although the guy that makes them busks alot. you could call him from the contact page and find out where he will be this weekend. here is some photo's I took and 2 very short vid's of me practicing the topit, that I took to show the owner. ( please excuse the crappy pass and CP at the end of the one.... I was using some awkward steel coins lol ) http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/syntaxterror7/ the shop is a little confusing so here are some extra links. ill shoot him a email and suggest he simplify it there is a decent amount of info on this page http://www.buskergear.com/?page_id=3&cat......ct_id=14 and the extras here http://www.buskergear.com/?page_id=3&category=4 |

Yes. Located in Kentucky.
Someone PM'd me and said that he was having problems seeing the vest on the site. I call the owner ( its local and we talk from time to time any ways ) and he said as luck would have it his server is having issues and a tech was working on it. hope that helps, it a nice product and worth waiting out those annoying computer glitches -D |

Joshua, thanks for pointing out the product and for the review. I've been looking on line for a good working vest with the intent of adding a topit to it. This looks even better. In fact, I just got off the phone with Bobby at Buskergear.com and ordered a vest. He said it should be done by Monday! That's fast. Looking forward to receiving it.

Oh man! This is great! In fact I was just over at Mitch's house Monday, we were discussing and playing around with topits in our vests. Guess I better get out there and do some busking to get enough cash for one of these. However it needs to wait until after I buy my street pouch from theambitiouscard.com.

I saw Bobby at the IBM/SAM convention. He was wearing one of these vests. It is an outstanding product. I'm going to see if I can find some of the fabric I like to use for my vests, and get it over to him.

Just got my vest today! Really, really nicely put together. Incredibly solid and well designed. Most of the features I'm able to put to use right away, one of them is going to take a little practice, but I'm thinking it will be well worth it. I'll be ordering a different color soon. It's always good to have a variety (and a backup).

Beautiful product for those who can use the ol' vest....do they make 'em for fat guys? I mean FAT guys? I love the vest though, if you want one this is a great deal cuz I've seen lesser models for more money.

Yeah, I believe they make the XXL but I'm thinking Bobby could arrange something larger if need be.
Just went to check, they do up to XXXL but again, I think Bobby would probably arrange for what is needed.

Boy, isn't it nice when you get a really well made product. Cheers to Buskergear! My vest arrived last week and this is a really well made product. Thank you Bobby at Buskergear for the friendly service and also thank you Joshua for pointing this out. Joshua's review of the vest is right-on the mark. I too plan on putting in an order for another one in a different color.

Thanks for the update mitch. I'm glad you agree. I can't wait to see what other stuff he come's up with. With all the seemingly endless tricks that come out every year, there has been a real void ( i'v been looking for a while for this kind thing ) for clothing items made for us Sleight of hand performers

How is the sizing? Did you find the vest size relatvie to the chest sizing accurate?
SMALL 34-36 MEDIUM 38-40 LARGE 42-44 X-LARGE 46-48 XX-LARGE 50-52 XXX-LARGE 54-56 Just asking for opinions of the owners...I have a 40 chest. Should I go Med or would it be "tight" |

Mark Rough Inner circle Ivy, Virginia 2110 Posts |
If you're a solid 40 go for the medium. If you're like me, wearing two different sizes (depending on manufacturer I wear a 44 or 46) go for a large and have it taken in a bit. That's what I did. I ordered and XL and had it taken in, only cost me about $15 to have it taken in a pinch and is relatively easy to undo if I gain weight (which happens during the winter, strangely enough).

I've been messing around with my vest and it is just fantastic. The thumb tip pockets and the flip stick pocket in the back are awesome!

I just put in my order for a medium black vest with a rear pocket. I am very excited. Bobby has excellent customer service and answered both of my emails containing questions within 24 hours. I'll let you guys know what I think when I receive the vest.
Thanks Joshua for letting us know about this product. |

Put my order in for a medium beige khaki worker's vest yesterday. I had a question about shipping and he responded in 15 minutes! I'm really excited about getting this. Jackets aren't very practical in tropical climates, so the vest looks to be a good match for where I live.
