I've been having problems accessing the Magic Café since 5 pm PST today.
My computer keeps saying that IE can't open the internet site: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/index.php Then it says Operation Aborted. It closes down my access to that site. The same thing happens if I try to get there through the link at the home page of http://www.themagiccafe.com Is anyone else getting this same error message, who is using IE? I've never had this error before. All other sites seem to work fine for me. I've even tried a way of dumping my history, etc. so I was not logged into the Café, but it won't even let me look at the site that way either. It doesn't make a difference if I was logged in or not. I am able to log into the Café with Firefox, just not with IE. Never had a problem like this before. I use IE most of the time, with very little trouble. - Donald

I'm having precisely the same problem. I can login with Firefox or Opera, but not with IE 7. I have not done ANYTHING to my settings on IE 7 since the last time I logged in successfully.

Yes, I'm using IE 7 as well. I didn't change any settings, and I had come onto the Café several times earlier in the day, without problems. This just seemed to come out of nowhere.

All versions of IE are doing this for some reason. Like Bill, I have a backup browser, Firefox, which is loading the Café without issues. Both XP and Vista 64 had major updates last night, XP being SP3 and some security updates with Vista 64 I'm trying to go through and see if any of the updates are blocking the Café's PHP protocol as this is also happening on some blog sites. Seems like an IE security issue.

Same here. Firefox is fine.

Same thing here. If you find a fix, please advise. I'm on here now through Mozilla Firefox, and am wondering how many others are unable to get on here, unaware or not set-up for alternate routes.

I've talked with several others, who are having similar IE problems.

I'm not having any IE problems elsewhere on the net. Anyone else?

Same problem. I am using IE 7.0. Except for the Café, I am NOT facing any problems with other sites.
