I'd think an online resource that included info on busking in certain towns including where (and where not) to try, permit/license requirements, etc., would be handy -- and kind of figured one would probably already be in place, but I can't find anything like that.

The thing I'm thinking of would be wiki-like so buskers could provide information for other buskers (okay, maybe they'd keep their *best* pitch secret) so you don't have to roll into town cold.

Does something like that exist? Would something like that be useful, or am I just too much of a tech geek?

Performers.net is a group of buskers where you can ask about any town and someone will help you. It is worldwide so you may find out about England and South Africa before you find out about Wichita
