Here are some photos. I found an illustration in the April 1909 Spinx that seems to match. It was in the article "The New Die Box Illusion as performed by Carl Hertz" translated from Der Zaubersplegel.
Anyway...I picked this up in Europe years ago from a collector. It's a varnished black painted wood. It has the sucker sound and the matching chimney has the gimmiked die as well. The die is a solid block of wood. I have no idea who made it...anyone? anyone? Bueller? Click here to view attached image. |
