Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank those of you who had a chance to stop by our booth at the IBM/SAM 2008 combined convention in Louisville, KY and pre-ordered our new Spider Pen Pro. Unfortunately we were only able to take pre-orders on 100 pieces, and have since then completely sold out. So, if you were one of the lucky folks to order the item in time, you should be receiving your unit in the next two to three weeks.
We will post a video of the convention in the next couple of weeks so that everyone can view a demo of the product, however it will not be ready until after we have replenished our supply, and the item is available for sale once again. Since 2004, the Original Spider Pen has been an incredible success with magicians all around the world; introducing the idea to the magic community. There have been many improvements in technology from its initial release though, which have otherwise allowed me to implement new, advanced features that would not have been available at that time. This is why I have decided to include them in my new Spider Pen Pro. The big additions on the new Spider Pen Pro are a power saving function with a longer-lasting battery, plus a remote control and toe-switch feature. With the toe-switch, you will be able to remotely perform with hands free operation over 30 ft. away; all the while with no suspicious movements or hand gestures. This will allow you to focus on your performance, instead of where your thread is located. Levitate a dollar bill or other small object; making it raise or fall under your command. Or, try our new "Dancing Effect" feature, and have it jump up and down as though it were possessed (much like Fred Kaps' dancing cork or Kevin James' floating rose). Like our Original Spider Pen, the Spider Pen Pro also uses the same Spider Spools which many online retailers already carry. Just place one spool one top of the pen, and you're ready to perform. As I mentioned before, the pre-orders for the Spider Pen Pro have completely sold out, though we will certainly keep you updated as to when they will be ready for sale once more. Here's an ad that we created for the item, and should answer a lot of your questions, though you can always email us through the website at: http://www.YigalMesika.Com Sincerely, Yigal Mesika P.S.: For those of you who were at the convention, it would be much appreciated if you might be able to give your sincere, initial opinions on the Spider Pen Pro for those who missed it. It was definitely a highlight of the dealer's room to watch the live demo!

Yigal seems to be busy because I sent an email a week ago trying to buy the new Pro Spider Pen - with no reply yet.

I’m looking forward to an update, as well. Price and/or release time.

I was hesitant to get a Spider Pen for a number of reasons, but it looks like this has all those problems fixed, along with lots of other great features. Now, I just hope I can afford it.

To those who pre-ordered a spider pen pro,
Have you already gotten your pen? I have not. Yigal Mesika sent us a mail long ago to ask us to wait one more month. It will be almost one month after the NEW dead line (so 2 months in total). I asked him when he could ship the pen, but in vain. No answer. Do you have any information? |

The pre-order price was $150. In the letter where Yigal Mesika asked us to wait one more month, he indicated $250 to $300 for the regular price.

I have not received my order. I have sent Yigal a PM a over a week ago and he has not answered me but has had time to post other messages about a new program he was trying. I gave him $150 cash in July with the promise that he would ship in 3 weeks. I did not get a receipt. He said, "Trust me." It has been 13 weeks. I appreciate that he updated us on the Magic Café. But that was August 5.

Boy, I'm glad nobody read that $70 figure. Maybe I can get two or three other magicians to go in with me, and we can take turns using it.

Here is the e-mail I received August 22. And nothing until today in spite of several messages to ask him when he could ship the order:
***** Hello, This is Yigal Mesika of Mesika Magic, and I would like to personally thank you for stopping by my booth at the IBM/SAM Convention and checking out my products. I had a lot of fun while there, and hopefully we had a chance to speak a little bit with one another. If you hadn't seen my products before, you can certainly visit my website at: http://www.YigalMesika.Com to get another glimpse, and to find out some more information about what we do. The reason I am contacting you today is to let you know that there is a minor delay with your Spider Pen Pro pre-order, however, rest assured that we are continuing to work diligently to get your item to you as quickly as possible. As you will recall at the convention, we explained that our product is manufactured in the United States. This is true, however one of the components of the pen can only be manufactured in China. The issues with ordering this part were an unforeseen delay and had not been anticipated for. Due to this difficulty, our production time has now been set back about one month. I realize that this may be in inconvenience for some, however I might also let you know that our IBM/SAM introductory price of $150 may significantly change for those who will purchase the unit in the future. The price that we provided you with at the convention allowed us to only break even with our manufacturing costs, labor and development, but was to thank you for having faith in our product. After spending the last four years in development on this device however, we have determined that a fair and accurate representation for the quality, design and performance of the Spider Pen Pro would be a retailing price of between $250 to $300. Needless to say, we gave you the best price that we could while at the convention, and we appreciate your support in rewarding us with that business. If however, you still feel as though you are unable to wait this additional one month time period, and need to request a refund, we completely understand because of this delay, and are willing to work with you in order to ensure that your money is returned for this purchase. For all of you who are reading this, I might also ask you to reply to this email with all of your contact information, as on a few of your order forms it was difficult to read all of your details clearly. Also, it is a good way to double check this information. So, with everything said, I just wanted to let you know as to this update on the Spider Pen Pro, and say that I sincerely thank you for your patients and interest in my product(s). I know that the wait will be well worth it! Sincerely, Yigal Mesika-Mesika Magic |

.... one of the components can only be manufactured in China.
This flood of poorly made Chinese c***p is one of the reasons the US is in bad financial shape - we shouldn't allow anything made in China to be imported here. As so and so says, just my 2 cents. Jim |
