Jet Farve finally makes his Broadway debut! (or, is about to, anyway)
The city is going crazy with excitement and hope! The Jets are now a lot more respectable with one of the best quarterbacks of all time joining the club. Way to go JETS Welcome to New York Brett! Or as we say around here…Bienvenidos! |

As a PACKER FAN I know how to spell his name, it's FAVRE, you'll learn. Your team has a great qb and the packers are stuck with a rookie who can't play even part of a game withput getting hurt. Your team could get to the playoffs and the packers will be LUCKY to be 8-8.
Have fun cheering for a hall of famer, I hope you can beat the pats at least once this year. |

Cool...Sorry about the speling...sometimes I have minor deslexia. I'm not blaming the deslexia this time but sometimes I just can't spell either.
I'm glad to see Brett Favre in NYC but at the same time I'm am going to miss Chad Pennington. He really was a good QB but just caught some bad breaks. He is a tough dude but I think any team that would consider him is going to be leary because of his injury history? I'm a GIANT fan first, Jet fan second. |

What was the deal with Chad, Justin? He started out so well, and then I kept hearing about injuries. How was his actual play after that really good season he had awhile back? It always seemed he had such a bright future.
The Favre/Jet thing....(or perhaps, the Favre/almost any team thing).... Wow. I wonder how he will feel about not being able play for the team he wanted to go to, where he had some relationships with staff (Vikings). He's got to learn a new offense, get comfortable in it. However, that process should be tempered with the fact that he's a seasoned veteran. While I think it is possible that Favre can give the Jets a boost this season, I'm about 60/40 that he won't. Just a feeling. I have always liked the guy, and hope for the best for him.

I think the same way he suddenly realized he made a huge mistake in retiring, he will wake up in NY one day and realize he made another huge mistake. I wish him the best, but I don't think this whole situation could have worked out any worse for Brett Favre.

Yes, I know what you're saying... It could go either way???
Chad...ah man, I really liked the guy. But despite the injuries, I think he started to fall from grace when he blew up in an interview once? I was stunned, I mean he was always so mild mannered. After that, he just was never the same. |

The Jukebox at the bar has been broken for the past few days, so I've pretty much been watching ESPN all day for 2 days now. I am so fricking glad that's over -it was like "The Bret Farve Show" for almost a week straight. Is he going to be traded? Is he going to play for the Packers? The Buccs? Is he going to attend practice today? Are his bowel movements regular?
I'm really tired of it. And now it's over!

I used to look forward to Jets games...oh well...FARve will find something to cry about (literally)...at least it shouldn't be the food! New Yorkers ain't gonna put up with the tears though...I want Barry Sanders back. boo hoo...poor Detroit...poor Pirates...no Dave Parker...good grief.
Justin...don't worry about the spelling...when he learns to pronounce it I'll learn to spell it. You're right...Not a fan of FARveypoo...

I wish he would of stayed in Green Bay, but I'll have to say, he's one of the very few players left that's playing for right reason. He's playing because he loves the game and knows he can still be productive. There's entirely too many out there playing just for the money and deciding on what kind of dance or what ever to do once they make a touchdown.

Bob, You're right Brett is playing because he loves it. You can tell the players who are in it only for the money, they tend to go from winning teams to losing teams that are willing to pay big bucks.
I am still a Packer fan but I don't support the management. I wonder if GB had an owner if it would have turned out differantly? As a fan I think it's managements job to put the best players on the field and rodgers IS NOT better then Favre. |

Well, Rogers got beat up yesterday and may be out for the next game. How did Favre do yesterday, anyone know?

Yeah I know. And Rogers is questionable, he already missed a few snaps, pretty soon he will be missing starts. What a bunch of idiots. This is the guy they kicked Favre out of Green Bay for. We all knew they guy was fragile, and we have NOTHING behind him. Nothing.
How could Rogers let a rookie take the field at a critical point in the game? There is NO WAY Favre lets some rookie trot out there. Then Rogers come back into the game? If your hurt stay out of the game, if you can play, play. You don't get to take a series off. Pathetic.

Yesterday I thought I heard the Saints' announcer say that Sean Payton was looking to sign Chad Pennington as a backup to Drew Brees. Wouldn't hurt my feelings...
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

I think Chad got stuck in a bad situation. Yes, he had injuries, but when the quarterback gets knocked for a loop every other play, it's usually not his fault. Every time I watched a game, there were multiple things going wrong. It wasn't just the quarterback, or the pass protection, or the dropped balls, or the defense, or the play-calling - it was usually a hodge-podge of all the above, and many "fans" stuck Chad with the blame. It's easy to have to work on one or two things before the next game, but when there's sloppy work everywhere.... A look at the stats for his first season as a starter for the Jets, or the 2006 season, or the time he spent at Marshall, and all the poo-pooers would see what a talent they had. Of course, I may be biased because I live about 25 minutes from Marshall and went to the University.
I'm a fan of Favre too, so hopefully he can show them how a team's supposed to work. Good luck.

Favre never threw 6 touchdowns for the Packers.
Way to go Brett! |

No he didn't. Of course when he was with the Packers if he went into halftime with a 34 point lead, they didn't need to keep throwing in the second half, the game was over. That was a wild game, he pretty much HAD to keep slinging it.
But it doesn't surprise me in the least, he's incredible. Wish he was on my team.
