I did a Café search & I don't see the Wormweird Tarot posted, so here ya go!
I just ordered this tarot card deck which comes with a Codex book. I, personally like the art style as I've enjoyed his work. Here's the web address: http://www.poepuppet.com You can view a quick slide show. There's a link to go to another site to order them. I'm sure on how I'd give a reading with these; I imagine the reading would have a pretty bleak & dismal outlook for the sitter. But to use them in an effect - now that's another story! |

I actually like them in a weird sort of way. Perhaps not very readable (do not tie well to orthodox card meanings) but a lovely collector's item if you like this sort of thing. Could well be incorporated into an effect as you say. Many thanks for the link.

I just received my deck today and they are everything I hoped they would be.
I plan on using them while enjoying a glass of absinthe at the upcoming Halloween gig. My only quibble is that EOS Press needs to improve their customer service.

Phil,
That's a kick in the crotch! (Not from you, from EOS Press) I didn't get mine yet. Maybe because I'm on the East coast. I agree with you - lousy customer service. I sent 3 emails before I got a response. Anyway, I've been told that they're on the way. Yipee! |

Yeah, EOS sends them out "media mail," so they take longer than normal.
And EOS doesn't seem to respond to their e-mails. However, that being said, the cards are wonderfully creepy. The stock they are printed on is thicker than normal decks, which will make this deck difficult (if not impossible) to shuffle (not that you would anyways). The accompanying booklet is brilliant... telling the story behind the cards. The divinatory meanings are similar to traditional tarot, but there's definitely a dark spin on each card that will be fun to play with for some of us.

Shuffle? You meant 'mix'.
Anyway, I getting so excited about these that I can hardly contain myself. Oops! Gotta go! |

If I may suggest the Deviant Moon Tarot and The Bohemian Gothic Tarot. Both decks are dark and the art work is tremendous.

I thought the Black Tarot, by Luis Royo, was awesome, but this is delicious; I want it!. The Baphometh Tarot, by Giger, is good too. The three are fine for any bizarrist. I also liked the Dali Tarot.

Still didn't get my order of the cards but...
went to Barnes & Noble today & discovered another deck that I may want. It's called the MYSTIC DREAMER TAROT. From the sample images on the box, they are beautifully done to my taste. These are different images than the ones on the box: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/mystic-dream/ |

"Mystic Dreamer" reminds me a lot of the "Faery Wicca" deck.
Of these types of CG-enhanced photographic decks, my favorite is still "Cosmic Tribe."
