Yikes! I just created what could be interpreted as a Gospel Trick! Quick..somebody talk about dragons or UFO's or vampires or something....
For those interested, the gospel trick is a guy shakes a bottle of aspirin and its full. He decides to end it all, so he opens the bottle, and takes out the cotton inside the bottle. He turns the bottle upside down and nothing pours out. The bottle is placed back on the table, the guy walks away, and the aspirin can now be dumped out again. Saved by an angel or something! Based on a trick Liam Montier came up with which had a way more sinister ending and presentation. No rattle boxes or rattle devices used except for the bottle, which is technically not gimmicked in any way! So quick...talk about vampires or VooDoo or something to get my mind back on track! Sincerely, Dale A. Hildebrandt |

Well maybe the devil or a demon was making this person want to end it all. But, the little voice in their head made them stop and made the asperin vanish. Or maybe he only thought it vanished because the next time the bottle was opened it was full.
Or, maybe this person made a deal with the devil and had to do something horrible before he could be freed from whatever this deal was. He tries everything to get out of it but nothing seems to work. He gives up. Goes to the cabinet. Get's the pills. But they're now empty. Little did he realize it was just a trick of the mind. OO OO maybe he has a drug addict and those are his pills. got involved with the wrong guy. deal with the devil. can't get out of the horrible thing he has to do. figures there's only one way out. goes for this drugs to take them all and they're gone. Boohooohahahahaha.... He must continue to do the horribe thing he's contracted to do...... How about that? C

I've never heard of anyone OD'ing on aspirin, lol.
Sleeping pills or (narcotic) pain killers, though, yes. Maybe the guy is a werewolf, and tonight is the first full moon of the month, and he dreads killing anyone, so he tries to OD. However, the ol' gypsy lady is watching nearby and thwarts him with a spell, forcing him to fulfill his curse... cause, like, she hates him or something. Then he turns into the loup garou, and goes into the local church, tearing everyone inside to shreds. Happy ending!
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

It could be a Senior Citizen, a little senile, trying to OD on St. Joseph's Childrens aspirins that he takes to thin his blood. Or maybe he's addicted to the taste, they do taste pretty good.

Judgement is the key.
He has a malady that, if medication is not taken is a timely manner, causes him to make errors. He is late taking his pills. By the time he gets to them, his error in judgement is- If taking two will make him better, and he's late, maybe he should take them all. But his Uncle Ted shows up and starts telling him to make good decisions, just like he used to- before he died, always liked Uncle Ted... He takes his pills- proper dosage thanks to Uncle Ted, (Just two pills drop out of bottle) and when he comes around, it's time to take another dose. But now, all the pills come out because he is making good decisions. Judgement waits for all of us, thanks Uncle Ted

Clifford, I really got a laugh out of your baby asprin comment. They do taste good. As to what will and will not kill someone; witrh my meds, if I drink grapefruit juice, it may kill me. Love the concept of the bottle and pills though. LOts of story line potential .

Here's one:
Dr Harold Shipman, probably England's most prolific serial killer, and a family practitioner, attempts an overdose to end it all since his arrest and trial. The tablets were stolen from the prison infirmary. The poetic justice is beautiful - he killed by OD'ing the frail & elderly with opiates - morphine mainly. In the latter cases he tried hard to get caught, but society will not believe a healer may harm. Eventually his own 'cry for help' is a poorly disguised forgery. Disgraced, alone and in a serious UK prison with all kinds of criminal types, he tries to 'escape'. However the divine masters of medicine, Hippocrates, Paracelsus, Angel Raphael and Galen prevent his attempt with the bottle. Shipman endures more months of prison before finally stealing a ligature and hanging himself. My good friend, a warder, found this full bottle of aspirin and didn't understand why Shipman didn't use it...however after I experimented with it... Most of it is a true story; facts are here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3391871.stm http://www.the-shipman-inquiry.org.uk/reports.asp Steve
