Funny: I've eaten so many cornflakes in my life that my write arm is slightly more muscular than the left...just from lifting the spoon 100,000 times.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I knew there was a reason I didn't like Corny Flakes.

Not to turn the thread too serious, but I am always dismayed when I see this nonsense still being peddled as "health advice" today.

Turn on your tv any day after 2am and before 9am (and sometimes even midday) and look at the parade of charlatans telling you to "cleanse your colon of years of accumulated toxins." Anyone who has ever seen or experienced a colonoscopy will know how false that idea is, but they make millions off of it anyway.

If you're a hummingbird sugar is the thing!

Health food nuts are just that. Eat based on your output of energy. Eat slowly and maintain a consistent eating schedule. Drink a tall glass of water upon waking up in the morning. If your job is too stressful, you've chosen the wrong line of work. Never put off a BM when you have to go.

The Kellogg thing has been printed in in dozens of books and magazine articles and anything they want to bring up weird things....y'all never saw it before?

For real fun look up the invention of the potato chip....it was born in anger.

Those two guys; hmmm... at least they meant well. Or at least they meant something (not sure what though...)

There's also a bizarre movie "The Road to Wellsville." Never saw it myself, but I believe it's about Dr. Graham and his Institution.

And to think, all this time I thought they gave us so many graham crackers in kindergarten just because they went well with peanut butter! Live and learn!

Well, I already knew about Drs Kellog and Graham from a book ("Why Did They Name It" I don't remember the author) so I didn't learn a lot here except how very twisted they actually were (The book tended to gloss over the finer details of the Drs. "health spas." and philosophy!)
