Hello all,
Richard here from Wisconsin. I know it has been awhile sense I have posted; but life gets busy and I have been on break creating a new show. Which brings me to my question. I have a Flower Wallet I bought from David Ginn. I really like the spring flowers in it and was wondering if anyone knows of a way to produce the single bloom spring flowers like you would doing bare hand card productions. Sense the cards don't pop open like the flowers do once produced? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know how many Fantasio vanishing candles Lance Burton uses in the dove act? |

I did not see any video demo with that link.
Jeff McBride shows how to produce Spring Flowers on one of his Stage magic videos bare handed and with a silk. |

(see attached image) The Jeff McBride handling of the Vernet "Flowers (from fingertips) Production" on his "On Stage" video is excellent. That is the one to study on how to do this effect. Play around with a rubber band and you can find different ways to hold the flowers together. The method with a rubber band is a very very old one - way before McBride's DVD.

But you can't use a rubberband for single productions... too much friction.
Paper tear strips are a better way to go for the bunch, quicker and easier to opperate. You can also make an great holder for single productions from paper, either a strip, or card depending on the moves you plan to do. The vernet set is a great way to start. As far as I know, no-one has produced a teaching source that even approaches card manips. However it certainly can be done Paul |

Play around with the rubber bands. It works for single flower productions. We, in Asia Pacific, have been using rubber bands for umpteen years. It is the way of tying the package together.

I think as well as the correlation between producing cards and producing flowers,
there is a correlation between a multiple flower production and Miser’s Dream, some of those techniques and gimmicks could work for sp**** flowers as well. And if you explore dove steal techniques, you could use real flowers instead! My thought, Walt |
