Where is a good place to start if you want to get into silk material?

Find a good tailor...no actually contact someone like Bob Sanders, a frequent poster here, and one of our resident silk experts, he can answer most of your questions.

I would second Father Photius's suggestion of searching out posts here by Bob Sanders . He is a veritable silk fountain of knowledge about this branch of magic.
Also, traditionally the Rice Encyclopedia of Silk Magic has most of what you need to know. http://www.silkkingmagic.com/cat3.htm There are 3 or 4 volumes of Rice's Encyclopedia of Silk Magic , but not all in print ,so you may need to do some searching. I believe you can get all 4 volumes on CD - http://www.magic.org/store/product_info.php?products_id=4568 |

Josh,
Where are you? If you make it to magic conventions and would like to talk, I'm in Atlanta at SEAM 2008 this week and TAOM in Fort Worth, Texas the next week. Enjoy your silk magic. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |
