Just wanted to share with you folks my latest wand. I call it the "Maria Clara". It is made from Pink Ebony and red Phenolic Ferrules. Notice the 5 ring inlay. I thought this could be a powerful wand.

1) Makes for a great gift for your better half. Invite her into our world once in a while.
2) It a perfect gift for any lady magician friend
3) Giving your better half a beautiful gift like this wand might be your ticket to buying your dream cups and balls set. LOL!

here are some pics

Mabuhay from Manila,

PS the pictures shows the Maria Clara in its unfinished stage.

Rannie,

It looks great but ... you're not seriously suggesting that I give my wife a stick are you? That's like giving a sharp object to a serial killer! LOL Smile

You KNOW what I thought when I read "Giving your better half a beautiful gift like this wand"..........

On a serious note hermano, have you turned any Tulipwood? I have quite a bit and made Jean a pen that she loves because of the pink and red hues! It would make a beautiful wand with those red tips or some redheart tips maybe!

Rannie, you know I love you dude, but . . .

If I gave my wife a magic prop as a gift . . . I don't think she'd get it and assume I'd bought another darned magic trick for myself! Especially since I told her I wanted a new wand recently. I held a bunch of Joe Porper's examples at WMS and nearly dropped 200 large on a wand.

I want the black one he makes with the white tips, mmmmm new magic toy mmmmm

Hmmmm . . . maybe I need to work on not buying so much magic stuff . . .

This reminds me of a shirt I saw once at a gun show. It said, "I got this nice shotgun for my wife. I miss her once in a while."

What do you do if you're missing your ex-wife?

Rannie,

Aside from being a "coin" guy, you have now turned into a magic wand "freak"!!! Hahaha!!!

Let me challenge you this time... there's the Tamplin Wand, the Pencil Wand, a magic wand for your spouse... Now how about an "Amorsolo Wand"??? I know you can do it!

Sal,

People might not know who Amorsolo is... anyway....I take the challenge! I'll make one in honor of Amorsolo!

I'll try to get some pictures posted...I made my wife a wand from a 13" stick of 3/8" pink acrylic. I glued small gems on the tips making the "tips" appear to be bling-bling as they say these days...

It compliments her hot-pink Bicycle cards, and cheetah-fir card case... We just got rid of her "Pink Beauties" but she has a very girly magic set that would make Paris Hilton say "That's Hot!!!!"

I asked my wife about magic wands, but she said she preferred Hitachi...
