I must admit I'm a little confused by this. Is this merely poking fun at magicians techniques or am I missing something? Very cool t-shirts by the way.

I was gonna type up an explanation of what it is, but I don't want to ruin it. If you watch these and still are confused, watch "Teller Gets Fooled" on youtube.

Wanderer2...thanks for letting me know somebody else gets it. It had me and a friend in hysterics. I searched "Teller Gets Fooled" but didn't find it. Very curious. Please advise.

Hello flow,
Here ya go. Right up your alley. Teller gets fooled by the Cups and Balls. Sort of. Very interesting. Especially his thoughts on the subject.

I'm depressed now. Not really...but Karum(sp?)did it so well. He created magic whereas I just did at trick.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Ok, now I get the idea... Guess it was just too perfect. I simply did not believe a drop was taking place. There was not so much as hint of a sleight, so I was not at all surprised when I saw that indeed it hadn't been a drop. All I saw was that you took the ball then proved that you took the ball... sorry.

Had it *been* a real drop it would have been superb though Smile

@ jimmyj: Thanks for the Teller video! Smile

I thought it was just a really good drop. Made me chuckle.

I'm confused on this one - though to admire the tee shirts.

Did you really to that bad a French Drop and could not drop a ball out of frame?

Can you really do a paddle switch so well as to make that display work in routine?

Ramsay student here so feints are fine with me - when used in suitable context.

I don't understand the question concerning the french drop. Clarify and I am happy to answer.

Concerning the French Drop, I do it pretty well and if I had actually done it, it would have looked just as good. Actually, it would look better. The "sleight" as executed was stiff, unnatural, and more of a caricature of the french drop.

As for the paddle switch, I don't do a paddle switch in a paddle routine.

Thanks for checking out the video and continuing the discussion.

I laughed. I liked the second video the best... reminds me of all the times we do moves for no reason whatsoever.

It did help to get Teller's comments on the cups.

And nice t-shirts.

The Teller vid was great just for Tellers reactions.
Now this is a whole different level of magic for study. Smile
