I'm doing a kids show in a few weeks, and I've decided to do a Harry Potter theme. One of Harry Potter's spells is "Lumos" - which creates light. Does anybody have a suggestion on creating light by "magic"? I might even be able to turn the lights down for the effect. Or I could use flash paper (but I'd need something to ignite it easily).
All suggestions welcome!

I've seen D'Lites - but not finger fazers. What do they do? Similar TT gimmick?

At a stretch, they might be called "similar" but they are certainly not the same.
With a fazer, you can catch a point of light and drop it -- still lit -- into a clear glass. (Well, I suppose you COULD drop it into an opaque glass, too, but why would you?) The light is very strong, and to see Jay Scott Berry do it is to see real magic. Berry makes and sells them so you might want to check out his website: http://www.jayscottberry.com cheers, Peter Marucci showtimecol@aol.com |
