I just noticed that too.
You don't have to join a savings club, they are already having specials all the time.

It's not really fair to call this a scam. Scummy, perhaps, because they're taking advantage of people who don't fully read before submitting an order. Alas, this isn't uncommon among Internet merchants.

Yeah, chalk me up as a former-VistaPrint who switched to GotPrint.com Better pricing, exceptional quality, no gimmicky ordering.
For flyers, I use Print4life.com |

The thing I liked about vista print is it allowed you to crop and move you file around. I have a design that has crop lines on it but it is on a 8.5 x 11 page. I was able to import and zoom to the image and crop the rest of the page out. It is the first time I worked with vista so I will see how it works out. Neither gotprint or overnight prints allowed that.

Happy Vista Print customer for 6 years.
Think inside the box. . . it's less crowded.

Used both, like Gotprint for biz cards. Great quality, great price.

Print4life and Gotprint are both good companies to work with. I have been designing business cards and other marketing stuff from my clients and using them. don't think I would use another company from now on.

It happened to me. I love VistaPrint or at least until I started to receive charges for bogus memberships.
When you click on a box to save $10 on your next order, it enrolls you in a crappy membership for stuff you will never buy. Great cards but they started trying to make more money.

I also got caught by this. When I spoke to vistaprint on the phone, the gentleman was very accommodating. He said he would take me out of the "club" and refund the money. My next credit card statement will tell me if he was being honest or not.

I guess it just pays to read all the details before saying yes to anything.
I read everything over carefully and have had no problems.

It is that way with nearly every business site on the net. They are all trying to make money and will find ways to sign you up for things because they all know most people do not read the fine print.

I know when I purchased from Vista a few years ago they didn't pull this. Of course there is a way out but its fishy the way the reel you in.

I just got new business cards from BlockbusterPrint.com and they are superior to VistaPrint. Better stock, the cards are cut to the correct size, delivered in less than a week, gloss stock on both sides at no additional charge and they doubled my order for free.
Earlier in the thread a few people mentioned GotPrint.com. I sent away for their sample pack, which also arrived today and their quality beats VistaPrint as well. I'll be trying them next for my next round of postcards. |

To each his own - Vista has done my cards, postcards, postcards, post-it notes and car magnets; all on the same theme which I have gotten many compliments on.
Go with whatever works for you.

I wouldn't say every business site but a lot of them do use these types of things (well known companies I might add). Anyway, I have never had a problem with VistaPrint. Everything has always turned out fine and as ordered. They are always doing special deals, as stated earlier, and I have not seen a better price. That being said, my dad uses http://www.printpelican.com/ which is more expensive but they do good work. |

If this is ethically ok with you VistaPrint supporters, then maybe we should encourage magic dealers to have monthly membership clubs. After all the economy is bad, everyone is struggling, and this would give some of the top names in magic retail to pick up some extra coin. |

I feel the need to add, based on what I said up above earlier in this thread, that my credit card bill came today.
Vista Print refunded all the money they said they would. What did it take to get the money? a two minute phone call to them. Yes, I suppose there was interest accrued on that money, but it wasn't much, and I accept that as my fault for not reading the fine print. They have handled the situation honestly.
