Hey guys,
The other day, my brother came home from work and was ticked off. Turns out when he gave a person their receipt (he works at Gamestop) and their change, the guy used some sort of bill switch; not sure which one, I wasn't there. But he handed him a $10 bill, and in like a split second the guy had a $1 bill in his hand. My brother, knowing I'm a magician, questioned it, but unfortunately because of how quick the guy did it was unable to argue with him. I was wondering which switch could be used for this so that I can warn my brother. His drawer was short $9 at the end of the night because someone doesn't understand integrity. Sorry if I come off wrong, I guess this just kind of ****** me off because I could do a lot of things to people, but I would never use any of my skill (even pickpocketing) to steal or do damage with them. Anyways, hoping someone could PM me and maybe tell me which method this could have been. I'll purchase it. I'm not asking for the secret, just which one I need to purchase is my question. Also, he did this in a T-shirt and jeans. Matt

This really could have been any sort of bill switch. Using a TT, just sleight of hand, really anything. I don't think you will get the actual method unless your brother can really recall what he did with his hands, etc.

The bill was completely unfolded, which made me wonder how he would get it into a TT that quick.

This may be the switch used in the movie "Grifters", where John Cusack switches bills at a bar.

Please correct me if I'm wrong or if this is not allowed, but I believe he is doing the thing where you quickly drop the one given to you and instantly slide off or push forward whatever is palmed. There was a whole expose of this on Mindfreak, and I believe Derren Brown did something like this. Your brother can just tell the manager what happened and check the tape that is probably there.

I had a similar experience back when I was teenager behind the register at an Arbys, except we called it being a "short change artist," a lofty title for a crook. I wouldn't grace your common thief with the title of magician either. It is criminal act; makes him a criminal, plain and simple.
I love it, though, how we become primarily interested in the method. Now, yooz guys are the magicians. The other dude is not!

I tried telling my brother what the crook did but he feels he couldn't have missed anything and this is definetly black magic. lol

MISDIRECTION!!! Derren Brown has several videos up online of him using simple misdirection to ask for people's wallets, paying for things with blank pieces of paper! He even bought a RING, a Diamond RING, misdirecting the manager! The only guy that did not put up with this and caught him was a hotdog vendor!
