Yes, I noticed this too. Why the change of heart?
Thought: Why does man kill? He kills for food. And not only food: frequently there must be a beverage.

Ernie,
It was actually before I received the effect. I knew the basic workings of the effect, but didn't know how odd it was in the real world. Jakks |

Jakks,
Sorry, but I still do not understand how you can list this in your best ever if have never used it. I find this problem all of the time when asking for advice on a video or effect to purchase. People tell you how great it is, then you ask them how long they have been performing it and find the truth. If you do not have the effect and perform it, PLEASE do not tell me how great it is. Thanks, Ernie |

Ernie,
It was a mistake and I'm sorry. Very rarely do I do anything like that but I was VERY confident in this product. Jakks |

Jakks,
No problem. After reading my post I see I kinda went on a rant at your expense. I am sure you understand where I am coming from and I enjoy reading your comments on these boards. Sorry for sounding like an #*%. Ernie |

My skin is very pale, being a redhead, but I could apply a bit of make-up or similar to the ss if I felt it necessary. For other people, the colour will be perfect and for others it will be too light.
I think too may people think like magicians too much and not like lay people. If a lay person sees a coin they just see a coin, even if it's a folder, a copper/silver or whatever. Lay people do not know of gimmicked coins. Take me for example, before I got into magic I assumed double sided coins would be very, very rare and cost hundreds of pounds even if you could find one. |

I was lucky enough to recieve one of the pre-release shifters from Keith, followed by the final release version. The difference is significant and Keith has been great about replacing the SS for anyone who received a poor copy.
Most recently, I got a walking liberty dollar. Without any exageration, this SS is picture perfect. Indistinguishible from a real coin side by side. I showed it to people who had reservations about the first run and their reservations all disappeared into the "stealth position." Keith is wonderful to do business with, so rather than gripe, if you are not happy with what you got let him know and I'm sure he'll make things right. |

I touched it up with some makeup and it looks much better. Instead of trading mine in the theatrical makeup is working and I only use this for the bending coin anyway so I am happy.

Like everyone else, when I first opened the package I was a bit disappointed. I played with the product for a few days, did my own touch up and now I am sold.
I used it tonight for the first time and stunned my girlfriend with the coin bending routine. I show her tricks all the time and she was really impressed. For all those who just opened it and then threw this in your drawer, don't. Play with it and make your own alterations using methods discussed on the secret forum and if you are like me coin (magically challenged) you will really appreciate this item. |

The Silver Shifter I believe was a good idea, but the final product was a beta version of what should have been. Perhaps an improved Shifter will be in the offering. This is one magician's opinion. From the hundreds of posts on this subject I know I will be in the minority.
1. Right out of the package I noticed that the coin was a dull imitation of a Kennedy half. 2. The silver particles that coat the coin come off on your skin. Ironically, the gimmick shifts silver particles to the fingertips. The moment I saw this I knew I would sell it. There are instructions that suggest you carry wipes to clean the silver off your hands. There is also a touch up kit to apply new silver to the coin and other "make up" to apply to the other side of the coin may be required depending on your skin tone. This is more trouble than I care for. 3. For those of you that use this to vanish a coin may I suggest another gimmick that works very well and is less visible. It can be uses for a vanish, production, or transformation and can be used with most coins of half dollar size or smaller. Consider Now-U-See-It Now-U-Don't by Jeff Stuart written by and sold by Meir Yedid. You can do so many amazing vanishes and productions etc. with this gimmick. It comes with a 47 page booklet and a video. I have no connection with the authors or dealers who sell this. I have used this as an opening sequence in a misers dream routine for years. 4. For a bending coin effect, I use Jay Sankey's Television Bend which has been discussed in another thread. I use an Ike Silver dollar. The big advantage of the Sankey effect is the coin that "bends" in front of their eyes is the same one that you drop in their hand. The gimmick can be made at home. |
