So I was at Walmart, the greatest magic shop on earth Smile , and was in the sports section on the lookout for final loads for my Cups and Balls routine. Then something caught my eye. A box that said Black Widow on it, and it was only $9.95! I was so surprised to see Walmart selling the Black Widow, that I took a picture with my phone:

You got me, I'll give you that.

I don't have the slightest idea what a black widow is. Is it in Tarbell?

I'm not surprised that Walmart would sell Softspikes Black Widows. They're great quality Metal Cleats, and many touring golfers use them.

The Black Widow is a vanisher/switcher. Imagine the raven on steroids.

The raven. I don't know what the Black Widow is, and you tell me its like the Raven.

Thanks.

What in the blazes is the Raven?

Maybe I need to re-think what magic is.

Please don't be offended by my post. It's just that it is clear to me that for YOU magic is about gadgets. For me, magic is something else. But that's a topic for another forum.

I'd offer you a beer, but you're probably not old enough to drink it.

Does anyone know where I can buy a camera trick? I want to start using one in my act, like the TV guys do.

Why would I ever get offended by that? You know absolutely nothing about me or how I do magic, yet you insult me by saying that the way I do magic is only with gimmicks. Smile

On the contrary, I only have a few gimmicks - and the majority of the magic I perform (95%) is ungimmicked. The raven is a coin vanisher that I bought when I was first into magic, and I thought everyone knew of it because it was invented a while back. Right now it is collecting dust in my drawer, because since then I have decided to only do slight of hand unless I need to resort to a gimmick (ie: wax, IT, TT, ect.).

And BTW, I am 18.

I hate the taste of beer, sorry.

If you want you can get me an iced coffee, that would be nice right around now. After all we are in a Café, not a bar.

It's all right Jeff, I can see why you thought I was just another "YouTube" magician - depending solely on gimmicks to get by.

Apology accepted. Smile
