To make gimmicked bills (e.g. Greed, Hundy/Burn, etc.), do you prefer rubber cement or double-stick tape? Though the tradition seems to be rubber cement, Daniel Garcia in Greed recommends double-stick tape because it makes his bill last longer. Maybe that particular gimmick especially needs strength due to all the folding, whereas the Burn-type changes don't...any opinions here?

If I was sticking together $100 dollar bills, I would use rubber-cement. You can remove it without damaging the money. To do so with double-stick tape would be much harder.

I use rubber cement. It is quite forgiving when your bills don't line up right and you have to peel them apart and try again.

You can always rub rubber cement off. The glue that's on double-stick tape eventually gets gummy and is hard to remove.

Thanks. I just disassembled my 2-week old taped Burn, and dang! Almost cost myself another $200! Headed straightaway to Staples for rubber cement.

You can also use spray mount, which can be found in Artist supply stores.

Also, I think double-stick tape could start to "crackle" overtime, which could give the effect an odd sound effect.

I like rubber cement. I don't wait for it to dry. While it's still wet, you can make adjustments to insure everything aligns perfectly. Once it's dry, you need to have perfect placement because there's no margin for error.

Rubber Cement is definitely the way to go. Never had an issue with "crackling," but if you do, it is easy to separate and spend the old bills getting new ones!
