I got a festival to be at today and tomorrow. So you won't be seeing me this weekend. Please wish me luck.

I started my next act within 7 minutes of the first one. I started about 12 noon. My two last sets I was feeling weak. I'm sure it was because of the sun. I was also blowing up balloon scluptures for the kids after passing the hat. I would only hand out balloons to the ones who made a donation. It took a lot of my breath away making me more weak. My Linking Rings were getting heavy my last two sets. I had to fight to be enegetic like most of my acts. I stopped at 5pm. I had until 7pm. I could not take anymore. I went to the shade with my bunny. I sat down feeling really weak, hoping I would not pass out. After about 40 minutes I left. I was only $50 from reaching my quota. My second set a young boy gave me a twenty dollar bill. He was one of the volunteers I used in the show. I gave several balloons at the end. But his father walked up to me and said, "I did not know his mother gave it to him. I'll trade you the twenty for a five." It was no problem I told him as we switched. Things went good without any hecklers. I did not wear my "Actor Pass," and still no officers bothered me. I did not like the inturuptions people kept giving me as I was reseting. Many people kept asking if they can touch my rabbit. I wanted no one to touch him because I do not know where their hands have been. I told them he is nervous, so it is best not to touch him. The order of the effects were Sponge Bunnies (with volunteer), Set of 8 Linking Rings, Misers Dream (with volunteers) and Chair Suspention. I passed the hat with the Change Bag (thanks to Purist). Here are the photos from one set in order: http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/D......estival/ I will make it there tomorrow. This time I will not blow up any balloons. I want to challenge the sun again. If I cannot handle like I'm suppose to, it is telling me I need to start working out. I will also leave my rabbit at home tomorrow. |

Hi Mike,
Way to go! Looks like you had a great crowd and everyone had fun. What table/case and stand are you using? I like it. Mark. |

Dynamike, I took a look at one of the photos. How do you cart all that gear to your pitch? How far is the pitch from where you park? In comparison, I work from gear stored in a doctor's bag [crammed!] and it's easy to carry - I fitted a waist belt through the handle area of the bag and use that as a shoulder strap. I hope your performance this weekend goes well. Colin Schwamm

Think every post regarding dynamikes set up has read something along the lines of drop the big items, pack small etc
however he has taken the gamble of being a little bit different and its working so far, if I was to watch a street performer I think id be intrigued to see a big prop waiting to be used and different is good. so I'll be the 1st to say dynamike keep the big stuff just make sure you pack big but play huuuuuuuge (and don't have a heart attack lugging it all over the show!)
