I just recently joined. I started magic when I was thirteen, but I got overwhelmed and it was hard to find what I wanted to do or concentrate on a trick.
My dad bought me a magic kit for $100 bucks it wasnt anything special that I couldn't have gotten for $30. I felt bad and it kind of left the magic subject sore to me. I also got the royal road, mark wilson's guide and a coin book. I just couldn't concentrate on learning the tricks. I wanted too but I don't know... |

What you want to do is astound people the same way you must have been astounded by some magician. We all go through it; it's why most of us started and once we learn the concept of astonishments, we want to astonish others. So my advice is, pick some trick that really fooled the socks off you when you saw it performed, learn it, practice it, and then go and give others that same feeling of astonishment.
