Once upon a time I had a toolbar on the right side of my desktop which had different tools on it. If I remember it had a faded black appearance. Does anybody know how to make that toolbar reappear? I know you could personalize the toolbar to have like a calendar and things of that nature on it.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. All the Best, magicianguy4life |

I hate that thing.
It's called the "sidebar". All you have to do is type "sidebar" into your search and a little plus-minus symbol thingy will appear at the top right corner of the screen. It's only useful if you spend a lot of time looking at your desktop. Who does that? I suppose that it COULD be useful if you don't use full-screen sized windows. |

Lol. I completely understand what you're saying. Actually, I'm no fan of it either. The ONLY reason I want it is to keep an eye on a stock. Other than that, I absolutely hate that thing also. Thanks for the help though. Greatly appreciated.

Isn't it, VISTA, a highly confidential program?

First thing I did when I got Vista is strip it down till it resembled xp.

I don't like my Vista.
Why did they have to mess with XP? What does vista actually do differently than XP? I mean, other than look different. |

What does Vista do differently? Well, it requires you to spend hour upon hour learning how to do the same old things.
It took me (no lie) five or six hours to figure out why my printer wasn't installing. When I finally figured out the problem, I wrote about it on my blog. EVERY SINGLE DAY someone reads that blog post. Now think about it: to arrive at my blog means you've already tried solving the problem by reading everything from Microsoft and your printer manufacturer and internet forums...and you're so frustrated you click link after link in Google in complete exasperation, and you end up reading some creepy drunkard banjo playing philosopher who STUMBLED onto a solution. THAT, my friends, is VISTA! |

(2) things I noticed about Vista
1. Sometimes when I try to use Internet Explorer to visit a certain web page (the page varies) It will only take me directly to a google search for that website and will not allow me to the site. Then in a few seconds I will be able to go to the same site, with no problem. 2. The buttons on my task bar are different every day. Sometimes the volume control comes up sometimes it doesn't???? WTF |

I wouldn't know about that. I have Vista (which it was perhaps a mistake to keep installed on the machine...but that's another story), but I haven't used Internet Explorer for years.

Wait a second...I didn't get a new printer yet, so what you're sayin' is that I am going to have an adventure installing it?!
Whoa, hey now. |
