Here is the effect:
From the creative mind of Mike Bent…the same guy who brought you "Zero Gravity". A card is selected signed and shuffled back into the deck which is held by the spectator. The magician takes out a magic wand claiming that he can make the card rise by waving the wand over it. He waves the wand but nothing happens…strike one! He tries again with the same result…strike two! One more strike and he's out! Instantly the wand turns into a full sized baseball bat! The magician takes the deck from the spectator and tosses it into the air as he takes a swing …hitting the deck. The cards go flying, and as they clear, the spectators signed card is seen to be stuck to the bat! It is removed and given to the spectator as a souvenir. Entirely self-contained, ready to go at any time in your act. Instantly resets. Do it close-up and surrounded. Comes complete with Mike's hilarious routine. Made of durable, break-resistant plastic. Anybody have this effect? Is it good quality? How is the effect for the price? Thanks, Evan |

Doesn't sound very practicle and the magic wand is a huge, plastic wand that telescopes into a plastic bat. It might play well but I don't know if you can take a swing at a deck of cards with a full size bat "Close up and surrounded." If you get a really good response, after the applause dies down you have to get on your knees and start cleaning up the 51 cards you smacked all over the room.

Good point... maybe I will look into a nice card sword for a better effect. Kevin James' looks good. Still there is the problem of cleaning up the cards... maybe it will be my last trick in an act or something...

Chad Long has a GREAT trick that's similar. You have a card selected and lost. Then you fan half the cards on the table saying "I don't think the card is in this half but I'm pretty sure it's in THIS half. He then springs the cards in the air and shoots a toy gun with a suction-cup dart and sticks to the card in mid-air.
