Hi all.

In the small video below, I stack a trip Aces for 7 hands and for the seventh player. Poker is Hold'em. The stuff is to use as little riffles, cuts, faros and second deal as possible. As you can easily check (each time, I slow down at the first one) I need to use 3 second deal in order to do that. Has anyone a solution using less second deal?

http://arnold.mcdonald.free.fr/temporary......_7_7.avi

The challenge is simple: 1 riffle, 2 faros and a cut (note that the intermediate strip in my video is absolutely useless) and less than 3 SD. What kind of slug would you use?

PS: don't use brand new cards to table faro, don't be as stupid as I am...

Just to clarify: Are you trying to replicate the standard casino poker shuffle i.e. Riffle - Riffle - Strip - Riffle - Cut? And starting with 3 Aces on top deal yourself back to back Aces and one Ace and one on the board in a 7 handed game? And you want to use the Faro and Seconds to achieve that outcome?

I’m sorry I am confused about what your asking and I don’t know what “3 SD” means.

No I don't really care about the standard casino shuffle sequence. You know, in private game here, in europe, you don't see that many strips (to be honest, I've seen guys doing strips just in UK) during a shuffle sequence Smile...

The stuff is just for demo purpose. You start with three aces on top. Using a reasonable number of shuffles and cuts, you stack the trip for the seventh player. In the video I use 1 riffle, 2 faros and 2 cuts. During the deal, I use 3 second deals (SD).

So my question is, has anyone a shorter solution for 7 players? I mean, less than 1 riffle, 2 faros, 2 cuts and 3 second deals. 1 cut less and 1 SD less would be great...

Sure. No deuces or faros. With Kems and following room procedure for fun. Smile

Z, you simply rock! You deserve the king of stack title.

But I'm looking for a solution using faros and no false cut Smile. It has no practical value to use faros, it's just for, well, intellectual curiosity...

Oh, well then one riffle and one faro is the best I can do for you. I did a false cut at the end out of habit.

So, to sum up.

With one riffle, one faro and one false cut, Z's solution (3+3).
With one riffle, two faros and two true cuts, mine (0+1).

A better sequence here:

Thanks for reading, watching and participating.

Ooops. I forgot to mention that there are many other ways to do that of course, using just one faro and two true cuts for instance. I just talk bout the solution using two faros because I'm not sure everyone is able to stack 3+3 spacers in one riffle as Z can Smile. And for some, faros are easier.

Theoretically you could do it in just one unbalanced faro with no false dealing etc, except you would end up with one in the hole and two on the flop.

Good point. But you've got to deal to yourself a big kicker in order to avoid another player having the 4th ace and a bigger kicker than yours. And full houses are still dangerous Smile.
