Which one is best Firefox or Internet Explorer?

^ The real question is firefox v. chrome v. safari v. opera.
IE shouldn't even be in the running. Any computer savvy person will agree. It is way too buggy, lacks customization and user friendliness.

I use Safari, Firefox, and occasionally Opera , depending on what websites I'm visiting (sometimes one of those three browsers will handle a certain type of website better than the others.) I would say that most of the time I use Safari. After that Firefox is the one I use the most often. To answer your original question, re: Firefox vs. Internet Explorer --- Firefox , no question. |

Definitely Firefox. It loads faster and has nowhere near the bugs that IE has. IE 7 was so bad I uninstalled it from my computer after about an hour. Dreadful software.

I personally think that it shouldn't even be a question. IE is outdated and worthless after Firefox came along. Firefox also has a much cleaner look and feel.
Firefox all the way. |

The spelling correction from Firefox makes it well worth the switch from IE.
I was have some problems and since I switched, I haven't going back. Chrome is fast but doesn't have that wonderful spelling corrector of Firefox.

Well, I'm the odd man out.I like IE I find the other browsers change the look of web pages and add things that are annoying to me. (By the way, I am computer savy, being a former programmer for AT&T - for those who think I'm crazy...lol)

Terry, I have to agree with you. I find Firefox has problems loading some websites. I still use Firefox on one machine and IE on the other though.

I have been using Opera almost exclusively for a couple of weeks now. I like the Speed dial feature. Chrome offers a very similiar feature as well...a tad buggy for me right now though. IE works well enough for me I haven't had any problems with it really. Safari is the one I like least. It works less than stellar on my PC. Firefox is solid and has a lot of nice features. So between Firefox and IE- Firefox wins...if only they would add a speed dial feature...

I have been trying Firefox for a few day now. The only advantage I noticed is the spell check. The disadvantage is so many websites do not download to Firefox, only to IE.

FF, but I have IE installed for web designers who lack the correct HTML skill to design *correct* HTML that works across the board - some people use IE-exclusive coding that doesn't work for anything other than IE. That's sloppy.

I go back and forth between IE and Firefox, and both of them have their problems and their advantages. IE sometimes seems to take forever to load pages that have ads, while Firefox sometimes seems to lock up for no apparent reason, the most recent being this morning on the Harries Magic website.

Firefox by a wide margin. IE is a crash waiting to happen. It has more patches than Bayer has aspirins.

I switched to FireFox about four months. No hang up, or crashing. Plus, with all the plug-in available it just much more fun!

From my experiences, Firefox loads slightly slower, but its virus protection makes it better and worth it.
