Why is it that you can do an effect in your sleep, but as soon as you're in front of an audience, you make a boo-boo.

Why is it that you can do a trick 10,000 times in front of an audience, then on the 10,001 try, half way through you forget the next move?

Why is it when you collect your fee after the show, the check writer is always the only person NOT in the room?

Why is it that if when you get paid they give it to your assistant instead of you even though you are standing right there?

Why is it that everyone applauses big for self-working tricks, and applauses small for sleight-of-hand tricks?

Why is it the juggler at a magic convention ALWAYS gets a standing ovation?

Why is it that when you are squirting lighter fluid in your dove pan to set it on fire, that it squirts out of the can everywhere but in the dove pan?

Why is it that you can practice a trick ten times in a row without messing up, when it is performed in front of an audience, mistakes happen?

Why is it that the audience are looking at your assistant only and do not care what effects you are performing?

Why is it that the trick that utilizes your most expensive prop gets you the least amount of applause?

Why is it that is very difficult to find a "correct" ring for the Himber's routine...?

Why is it that the weather is perfect on weekdays, buy rains on weekends for outside door shows?

Why is it that when you do a 4 ace production for layman they say.....uhu...so?

Why is it that when you purchase a expensive illusion, it goes on sell the next week?

Why is it that when you want to do the four ace routine, the aces are missing fromthe deck?

Why is it that the kid you pick to assist from the audience always has to go to the bathroom, really bad, half way through the routine?

Why is it that the electronics tricks do not work right during a show?

Why is it that you can be perfectly happy packing your show and someone asks "If you were a real magician it would pack itself"

Like they were the first person ever to think of that idea?

Why is it that you get a show at a house where you carry in a single bag but the hotel show requires you to unload (and repark) a dolly and a half of equipment?

Why is it that your assistants are so careful when setting up but immediately after the show they bang every prop around like they're practicing for some kind of demolition derby?

Why is it that the one thing you need for the trick is the only part that gets damaged in transit?

Why is it that magic looks better in someone's hand and not your own?
