Well, quote a few people have been wanting me to re-do another run of my cups and balls sets. I thought I'd never see the price of copper and exchange rates drop by so far so quickly so its possible to do another run now. For those who havent seen em, its a kit designed for the budget street magician/amateur (jumbo cups, dvd, pouch, fake fruit, wand, see- http://www.ourlittlestore.com/showitem.php?item_id=47, sold for $150USD).

My question is for those who purchased a kit, what would you like to see done differently in the next kit?

Actually, I cant see a better time to produce a budget street cups kit in light of the present economic outlook.

The only thing I would like to see is a larger saddle.

And the Comic Case? Any chance of resurrecting that baby?

The TT barely fits my pinky finger.........maybe provide the necessary gimmick and let people install it in their own TT?

I've heard good things about these cups. I'd probably be interested for a set to keep for outside gigs. Would you consider selling just the cups for those of us who prefer their own loads, balls, etc?

Andy,

Just like what Bill said, I would love to have your cups with a bigger saddle to take 3 balls comfortably. I will be first in line to order.

Well, its looking like copper will sink even further...good news !!! Thanks for the feedback.

John: I will consider doing the case again, we have a really cool product coming up which is taking all my time but the case is also a prospect.

Pepka: I don't really want to sell the cups on there own but who knows, we may have some sets left over.

I assume the saddle is the dimple in the top of the cup. Yeh I can see your point on this one, let me ask what they can do.

Re-do the saddle and maybe make them a bit smaller so that the same copper can be used to make them a tad thicker/heavier?

also change the bead/mouth so there's no suction possible when the cups are nested.

those would be my suggestions.

I agree with Frank. The suction affects the handling of the cups when they are removed from the nested stack.

I'll definitely look into these. I need an upgrade from the Bazar's.

I know this cups are designed for the street magician, however I would like to see the same design in a smaller size for close up purposes.

Great to hear! I've had my fruit stolen, wand broken and case pretty worn. Maybe Pepka and I could split an order! Otherwise, do you ever sell replacement parts? Jim

Yes, that's correct. Some people call it the "recess," others call it the dimple, the depression, or the saddle. To make the saddle larger, they will need to re-cut the block that the cups are spun on and use a larger pressure plate.

Bill, actually the block doesn't need to be recut Smile They can take the nose of the block down and machine a new one on. The saddle for the chick cup tooling was worn, so we cut the saddle down, cut a new one and machined it so it would just screw on. This should save Andy some $$ rather than redoing the entire spin block, in addition they'll need to make a new dimpler, but still cheaper in the long run than completly retooling.

You know these things far better than I do. It makes sense, though. I was thinking he could simply cut the top of the block down a bit and make it a tad flatter.
