I just purchased the perfect close-up case for me anyway. It might be a little big for some of you. But for my purpose (I have a lot of stuff) it's perfect. I first saw it on Doug Malloy's website. I really liked it. It's like several cases in one with plenty of room for everything. Even some bigger items that might not fit in a smaller case. I can do a 90 min show out of this case easy.
Here's the link: http://www.malloymodernmagic.com/multigig_case.htm I was getting ready to purchase it from Doug's website when I wandered into a professional make-up supply store here in Las Vegas by total accident. I found the exact case. I love this thing. It's by far the best case I've ever had. I have found a bunch of new ways to do stuff just using the case itself. Well worth investigating and investing in and for the record, Doug's price isn't bad. I would get it if you are a serious close up worker. This case will travel easy and it's even on wheels. I can't say enough great things about it. It's just the perfect case for me. So check it out!! Click here to view attached image. |

A friend of mine had one of these and he too called it a close-up case. I can't imagine using this thing for close-up or strolling. Possibly parlor though. Do you have a link to the place you bought it in Vegas?

With all those compartments this case certainly look useful.
How are you doing with the case now? How much can you pack in? |

Pepka... The store I got it from doesn't have a link... but I found it online for the same price I paid.
http://www.yazmo.com/proaluminummakeupcaseblackts-36.aspx Shipping is free here too. James.. .you can pack a ton of stuff in it. Seriously. It's the perfect case for me. I love it and you should get one. It will fit everything you need and more. I travel a lot so that's what I was thinking about. I want to have anything I may need at my fingertips. This case certainly does the trick. |

Hey Monkeyboy,
Thanks for the tip. This is a great looking case. Looks rugged. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if you can fit an assistant in there... Steven |

I just ordered one. I spend Summers in Colorado and Winters in Arizona. I want this to transport my magic back and forth. Thanks Monkeyboy for letting me know about this!

I got my case today, and am very pleased with it. This thing is beautiful and quality made. I have always had trouble storing my close up gear and remembering where I put what. This case holds all of the stuff I need, and makes it easy to find items. You can even separate it into two cases, and they send an extra lid in case you want to go this route all the time. I won't be taking it to gigs, but will use it for storing items and transporting all my "can't live without" items between Colorado and Arizona. The lower section is large enough to carry the books I like to always have on hand. For $169.00 with free shipping, it's hard to beat. Thanks again Monkeyboy!
