Ax,

Just so old guys like me (hah !) understand, we are to send you the video submissions as email attachments, but we register the hardcopy paperwork by fax or snail mail, correct ? Sorry to sound so stupid, but I have never entered one of your contests before, so I want to make sure I follow the rules correctly!

Mark.... no problem.

No you don't send us the video by email you convert it to flash by uploading it to a site (Youtube is the best)... There is a download section on the page with the Rules document, and the application. In the rules it tells you....

Format: All video submissions must be converted to Flash video by you. An easy way to do this is to upload your video clip to something like: Youtube or GoogleVideo. You will have to follow their directions, they have a lot of help; we do not offer any technical support, but they do! If you don't have video ability or technical computer skills, find a friend who does and split the winnings! Axtell will embed or download your flash video clip once converted.

Email Greg Jackson, Axtell Studio Manager when your video clip is converted and ready to submit. He will need you to send him a link to the embeded code of the video (copy and paste the Youtube code in the email) so he can access your movie. Greg's email is here. gjackson@axtell.com

OK, I got it now. I actually read all that in the rules, but it just didn't click. So the video will be up on Youtube or GoogleVideo for all to see, and not just for your judges eyes alone.

Thanks ! Sorry I didn't grok it the first time...

(doh!!!)

Do you think we should extend the deadline longer than Nov 15?

I think so too...since the first run was a great success and that every possible idea has been used...maybe it would help if the deadline is extended so we can brainstorm a little bit more Smile

Now that the videos are up, what are people's favorites? There are some bizarre ones out there. Some people are really quite original.

Favorites under the puppet division :

I LOVED Steve Petruzzella's Puppet Abuse video ! It was hilarious, very professionally done, and wins the prize for the most Axtell products seen in 120 seconds (other than when you might go to Steve's business).

Talk about product placement.

:rotf:

As for the kids, Austin's entries rocked ! Well on his way to being a pro...

:D

All of Steve's videos on Youtube are top shelf. I'll pass along the kind words onto Austin...

Thanks Mark...

Well I'll second the comments on Steve's videos. He is a real pro, and one of the best I have seen at creating good quality material on any given topic.

Other videos I like are: Travis Hill's 'Tortoise vs Hare', and Colin Dymond's 'Alfie's Alphabet'.

'My Adopted Bird' is also quite touching.
Magically yours,
