Is anyone setup to resell magic items? Anyone doing well with it?

There are several magic auctions around, as well as e-bay sales and when you have 50 posts you can find the forum here where used tricks, videos, books, etc. are sold. Other than a couple of the auction sites I don't know anyone who just specializes in selling just used props.

Thank you Father...I have been viewing ebay, but am leary...since I do not want to get 'taken'. I would trust magicians a little more.

I just want to say that eBay is mostly safe. I've been doing business -- buying and selling -- for some time, and I've had only one or two negative experiences.
If you use PayPal, you will be protected from being "taken." Also check feedback records. Carrie |

I would agree with Carrie. I've bought magic on ebay with good results.

Thank you, I appreciate the input. I will check into ebay since there seems to be a lot out there.

I've gotten almost all of my magic books off of ebay. I haven't had a bad experience yet.

Mike, here's a link to Ron Allesi. He buys magic props from magicians and resells them. He doesn't deal in junk. I've done business with him before.

Great thank you. And yes, you have to post 50 times then the for sale area opens up....it is called "Lets Make a Deal" and it will be about 2/3 of the way down the main page.

I have had great luck on Ebay buying magic "lots". You can get multiple copies of tricks that often wear out like 3 color monte. I have also had good luck finding replacement parts for some of my effects.
One other great place to check is craigslist |

I've been trying to resell magic items on Ebay with mixed results. Some items that I thought were great and that were posted at bargain prices just died on the vine. I think the trick to selling on Ebay is that you have to include the word "Ellusionist" in the title, regardless of what you are selling.
