Looks good!!!! How Clean does it end??
This looks like one of those "Let me see that card!!!" tricks. Can the card be examined after the trick??

You do have a fully gaffed card to consider.
There are other non gaffed color changes that are nearly as "visual". Done properly, the Houdini/Erdnase color change or Steve Drauns "Midnight Shift" look pretty darn nice. |

I understand that, but on the Penguin Magic demo I saw Oz cut the deck immediately after laying the card on the table. I was just wondering if that was some sort of "out" to hide the gaff.

Looks good. I have heard that you don't want the spectator to get a real good look at the card, they will see "something". Oz did a great job as usual!

As with many JB tricks, the cards are not examinable but toss a double backer in there, or if you feel comfortable with a top change, then you're all set.

It's a horrible trick. You can't do it for close up. They'll see how to do it. It's horrible.

I disagree with magicman222. It's a good trick for lay people. Maybe not magicians, but if you're a restaurant worker, this trick gets great reactions.

If you're doing magic professionally (as a restaurant worker) I would hope you would already possess the skills necessary to do this without a gimmicked card. Seriously, it's a clever toy for beginners, but if you've read any book on sleight-of-hand you should be able to duplicate this with regular cards.

I do. But I just like doing Blink because it's easy and fun to watch.

JB's "Blink" is a very cool effect.
Although, It can be done with ungaffed cards. Just sleight of hand, very slowly and visual. If you like that, You may want to check the "Meltchange" take a look at: http://www.peter-eggink.nl/meltchange It's a very cool ungaffed Colorchange, which is visually stunning. Thanks, Peter Eggink

I have heard that Magicians sometimes use "Blink" when they want to toss the card in the air and have the change occur while in mid air. That might look cool!

You have to make sure you are a few feet away. This is not a close up effect.

I'd rather use Sleight of Hand.

I think this is pretty good even though you can't do it very close up. What is the difference between Blink and Bromley's trick like this?

Blink is gimmicked out of it's own mind.
Can It Be Examined? Of course. But it'll be discovered instantly. Rating? Fahget about it. Robert Bloor

Bromley's is more like a spring book change and is a better gaff if you catch it correctly but I like Blink and from a few feet away the effect is just as good. I would recommend it.

Using Louie Simonoff's Flippant Move basically achieves the same thing. I have, or had, Blink and it has stayed in my drawer for about one year already - I haven't even touched it or gone near it at all.
