Hi everyone.
this device looks really clever. I was thinking of getting it, but would like to get some opinions on it first. any comments would be appreciated. Michael |

If you think about what you can do with it, there's really nothing that's come along in terms of being on the table during a shell game that's even remotely as powerful.
This thing takes peas in and out of play faster and more casually than any other method (IMHO). With a few loose chips on top of it to use for Bob's giving the chips out to the specs form of audience management, it's never even suspected. Amazing item really, and quite precision made in terms of getting the work done and without any tells. |

This and the other post on the Stack has convinced me to get a set myself. As silverking mentions, there really is not much to set on the table, but with the way Sheet's uses the chips for audience management is worth the investment.

I believe there are additional handling notes to be included on the soon to be released DVD set.
This really is one of those "why couldn't I think of stuff like this" items. Folks can't even conceive that the chip stack serves any purpose whatsoever......especially if you take the different colored chips off the top to indicate who's turn it is as Bob indicates is a really good idea for audience management anyway, Sheet Stack or not. |

Silverking, would you elaborate on the method that Bob Sheets uses for the device?

Bob uses single chips of different colors that he hands out to spectators in order to determine when it's "their turn" to find the pea.
It stops the "grabbers" from pointing, yelling, or touching when it's not their turn to do so. The loose chips he hands out sit on top of the Sheet Stack, leaving the Sheet Stack on the table (looking like nothing more than a pile of a few more of the chips already handed out). From that point on, the Sheet Stack has absolutely ZERO heat on it....you're free to do with it what you will. BTW, I don't know for sure that Bob himself uses the Stack this way, but this is the way I use it. The only video tips are contained on the new DVD set, so I haven't seen what Bob will actually do with the Stack. Once the heat is off the stack, it becomes an invisible shell. |

Wow that's a very brilliant idea to play`around with.
I ordered a set. can't wait to use it. Now, according to the description of the product, the sheets stack is magnetic and comes with magnetic and non magnetic peas. Can you also use this device with the non-magnetic peas? just like a standard shell? |

Absolutely, yes, but you can't lift the stack up and move it around with a pea onboard as you can with a magnetic pea.
Being able to move the stack around the table (because it's apparently in your way) can be important, it gives you a reason to put your hand on the stack. |

How easy is stealing the pea from under the stack? is it like moving a normal shell, or is it a bit more difficult cause it's flat?

With no more than a bit of practice, it's just like a shell.

This thing is brilliant. I'm starting to play around a bit with the "Two-Pea system as it's been developed by Bob, and his stack device is worth its weight in gold. I actually use 4 real chips along with mine, keeping 3 on top and 1 on the bottom, with a pea loaded in the stack when I put it on the table. Then after I hand out my three spectator chips, I still have 1 chip I can "fidget" with, moving it to the top of the stack. It gives the stack a bit of visual movement, and it "talks". This helps sell the stack.
It's not really necessary, but I like having the loose chip to be able to slip it to the bottom of the stack, and even to flash the bottom.
Woke up.

Don,
2 Questions: Do you 4 chips in addition to the 3 that you hand to the specs (like Bob taught us at Denny's last month)? And, how do you get the magnetic peas out? Non-magnetic I know (just use the stack like a shell), but how about magnetic? Good seeing you last month and look forward to hearing from you. Paul |

Hi Paul,
I replied to this but it has been deleted, I probably said too much in public. I'll send you a PM about this. Don
