I think that the next rank should be

Town's End.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats

What is the big deal?

It is so easy to differentiate between high poster's who have something constructive to contribute and those whose mostly meaniningless post's are only for self gratification and numbers.

Title's and post counts are non-consequential.Substance is.

Happy trails.

It should just reset itself and start over again. That'll teach'em to keep posting!

I have it figured out! At whatever number referenced by Dynamike (I actually think to be realistic they back it down to 10,000) that the tick go back to zero and the title be 'Humbled'.

Oh, sorry then.

Me think that when one gets to the number of post in question (me be don't recall the number) the ticker kicks back to zero and the title becomes "humbled". There, me hope me be clear.

Kind of like the seven step process of alchemical transformation - or the way some schools in the martial arts keep their students on the path.

The problem I see though is no matter what the labels, we will still have to face those who presume to write before they read and likewise demand respect for all they have yet to learn. How strange a craft which does not teach it's novitiates that clever does not replace respectable nor do tricks replace social graces. Come to think of it for some reason we have folks here who have yet to learn that "what does this mean" or "what did you mean by" or "would you elaborate on this" or "where can I find more about" do much better in dialog than "i heard that so and so does this trick were".

Just a student here - always something more to learn.

Yeah, how about student?

Or perhaps "Deluded" or "Totally Out of Touch" or ... I'll stick with "student" - but my "dunce cap" has moons and stars on it okay?

Ahhh...like belts in martial arts, I like that. Interesting stuff those belts. There are some schools that have four year old black belts in them, very cute. There are others that will not consider anyone for a black belt until they are 16. I've always considered the later to be more responsible.

M/S - was not being sarcastic about those schools where you go back to white belt again after a few years as a black belt so you can explore the basics with new eyes or or the alchemical process which has that built in.

I come to this forum for the self gratification, (I get compared to turtles in the other forums and that's not good for my self image) I don't care about the numbers.

Jon, you bring up a good point. I think a test on magical knowledge should be given to move from one title to another, howzabout that?

Then, Jonathan, what about "Ouroboros" to honour between 10 thousand and infinity. You may be one of the only ones to ever reach there, so your opinion might have a little more weight in the debate...
