Hi all,
I invented Stargazer in 1999 and sold the distribution rights to Mark Mason at JB Magic in UK. I have made extensive research that no exact trick was on the market then. The closet version was David Harkey turning a one handed star into a star shaped rubber band. Since then many copies are becoming available. Mark F. and Al Angello are great friends in magic among many others who support my original. Thanks Alan

I do not claim to know every little thing invented by every person ever, but I do have a bit of time in the art, and to the best of my knowledge, credit for this effect belongs to Alan. When his Stargazer first came out on the market, I, at least, never heard anyone else claiming that it was their idea and had been previously released. Unless someone can show me proof of a release date before Alan's, he deserves the credit as far as I'm concerned.

I bought these in the past from Mark Fitzgerald's web site--they were all yellow, which I preferred. I notice his web site is now gone--sorry to see it. I am not aware of anyone else who sells the one color---or sells them in bulk, for that matter. Since I do hand them out when I am done, this is a challenge.
Thanks to all for setting the record straight regarding the origins of this great effect.

All of Alan Wong's star shaped rubber bands are yellow, and he sells them in bulk. He used to sell red, blue, and yellow, but now all of his rubber bands are yellow. PS- Mark buys of his yellow star shaped rubber bands from Alan.

Thanks Al---I appreciate the information. I'll go to Alan to order my stars.
As for the creator of the Stargazer effect, I thought Al Gore was somehow involved........

Today I gave away about 100 pearl poodles, and around 50 star shaped rubber band. That would be more than 3 of those crumy little bags of stars that they sell at magic shops, and over $30 out of my pocket. With out Alan Wong I would be SOL.

Alan Wong is the creator, I have been selling it for years including the replacement bands. Why would anyone else want to claim the origination of it? I would certainly question their business ethic and honesty as well. JB owns it, its a great trick, Alan created it.
