Once you've made your required 50 posts and can get into the restricted area of the site, make sure to have a look at the "Howie Diddits" thread. Many ideas for budget-priced magic there.

The Mark Wilson Complete Course in Magic. I found one for under $20, and it has ALOT of
magic!

It's the very 1st place I learned The Ring Off String. A lot of very good magic for a very good price.

I stumbled across this beauty in my local library. Awsome book with lot's of information. I was thinking that Mark would need to watch his back for giving away so many "secrets". That was before I learnt that magic was an "art" not mere mechanical operation
That year's Christmas was one they would never forget. The $4,000 in new credit card debt would be a monthly reminder.

Magic on a Budget

The TT: Many magicians shy away from the TT as it?s included in many magic starter kits and is seen as an over exposed concept of our art. But a neglect of this piece of apparatus is a sad deprival to magicians of a very powerful gimmick.

Vernet TT - $4.00
Darwin's book on TT - $2.50
101 ways to fool a spectator - PRICELESS!

I think going to your local shop, joining a club and reading a couple of the many wonderful books on magic would serve any beginer well.

Hi Everyone

It has been some time since I posted this thread back in 2003. I was surprised to see this thread back to the front of the more recent posts.

Just as an addional point and something that I thinks fits well in the theme of this post is the product called the Million dollar knot which is sold by penguin magic that explain the method for making your own IT loops.
