I have been using the Showtech for many years and one of the limitations is you have to keep the Showtech at least 10 feet away from the speaker/sound sytstem or the remote control stops working. This means always having the audio cable running across the floor at your shows. Does the MP3-Tech have this problem as well or can you set the MP3-Tech on top of the speaker without it interfering with remote control capabilities?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike

I use a 18in long audio lead so it is always near the amp and have never had any problems.

I have even had this sitting on the mixer of peavy escort with no proble3ms.

Ditto...

I have never had any kind of problems caused by the mixer or speakers being in close proximity to the MP3 Tech.

I too used the showtech and now the mp3tech and never had that problem either. In fact my reciever some times sits on top of the amp.

Not sure why this is only an issue on my system. Early on, I spent several months struggling with the remote not working until I called Wireless Wizardry and they said to keep the showtech as far away from the amp as possible and I never had the problem again. The amp I use is an Anchor Explorer Pro.

Colin - Sorry for my lack of knowledge in this area. What is an audio lead? Is this what everyone else is using why they are not having the same issue I am having?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike

Audio Lead = Connects the audio output of the Mp3 Tech to the input of the Amp.

Ok. Do you use a standard audio cable or some type of heavy duty one?

I have an Mp3Tech and it has always worked great. However, I recently mixed up my Mp3Tech power supply with some wireless mic power supplies and now I'm not sure which is the Mp3Tech PS. Can anyone tell me what the output specs are for the Mp3Tech PS.
Thanks, Mike

I used a Showtech for about 15 years and had to be pretty careful with physical placement of the ST unit and the amp (a Peavey MP4 amp/mixer) or I'd get some sort of conflict.

HMC,

Email Wireless Wizardry. As long as the Power Supply voltage are the same you should be fine.

Look at the PS as regular batteries. For example the 9 volt batteries of Duracell and Energizer are the same.

But if the PS has higher voltage you might fry some of the internal parts of the MP3Tech.
