Can you do a signed ambitious card routine with it?

You could have them initial a sticker which you stick on the face, then you could reuse the gimmick after peeling off the sticker.

When I opened this and took out the gimmick I thought is that it and that wont fool anyone.
but when reading and trying in the mirror how wrong could I have been, very very clever and it looks awesome, needs slight practice to look right but once you nail it this is a killer. |

Just a heads up, Humbug has been released with an instructional DVD now. Check out your dealers. FYI Hover has been released with a DVD too!

I was lucky enough to see "Humbug" performed live before actually purchasing the gimmick, so I knew how strong the illusion would be. Just like a lot of things in magic, however, upon seeing the gimmick you'll ask yourself just how in the world something so seemingly simple as the "Humbug" gimmick could create such an illusion; but it does, big time. I also picked up "Hover." Another winner. Angelo is definitely an outside-the-box type of thinker. Kudos!

Thanks MJ!
I agree upon looking at the gimmick you may think that it will never fool anyone, but it DOES. I think this is the most commercial trick I have come up with so far. Angelo

What's the difference between this and Ambelitious Card by Masuda?
Can this card be examined? With Masuda, it is pretty good as you can have them signed, and no need to take your hands on your back. BUT with Masuda's item, you have to practice one move so it looks more convincing.

Can anyone compare this to Vanishing Deck by Tekel?
Thanks! |

Angelo Carbone V.I.P. 1475 Posts |
The main difference between Humbug and Ambelitious Card is that there are no flaps in Humbug and Ambelitious Card allows for the signed card to remain in the hands. Both tricks cannot be examined, however the Humbug gimmick can be cleanly shown on both sides with no masking of the fingers and can be tossed freely to the table.
If one is very good at sleight of hand you could probably ditch the deck the same way as used with the Ambelitious Card or use any other manner. The reason the behind the back method was included was so that anyone of any skill could perform the effect. As for the Tekel Vanishing deck, I have never heard of it. Any link?

Just got this yesterday and luv it. Unbelievable optical illusion. I had so much fun looking at this in a mirror. Very, very practicle for the illusion of vanishing a deck and takes up no space whatsoever. Highly recommend

Very good decomposed- I got this the other day and it is a great optical illusion. Looks so nice. At first I too was like- no way- this can't be. But when I did it correctly in front of the mirror- I giggled like a little kid!

I too am very interested in buying Humbug, the vanishes look awesome. I was wondering if it can be used to accomplish the first effect Dynamo uses on this video...??

I meant Travelling Deck by Tekel.
Can anyone comment on if it is a different method? Or is one better than the other? |
