Time: 7 PM Place: Marc DeSouza's Theater (Philadelphia area) Wear comfortable clothing, as this workshop will be very hands-on. My focus will be mostly on technique with rope and chain. Showmanship, psych, and scripting will also be discussed.

He already does but I am not going to tell you about it cus a) its rubbish (harley told me to say that) and b) he did not benefit from it - as one would expect one to if one released it (dont you just adore the english language especially the word one - Does One know that the queene is one of ones freinds? - well its such a small country we all know each other you know).

Thanks for the votes of confidence! We had a great time, the other night!
I've only done four "public" lectures, in my whole career...at least, about technique. A hands-on workshop, doesn't translate well to video. Necessary interactions involve physical sensation, guiding technique. While research is getting into some interesting virtual perception, it's not far enough along to make it a practical teaching tool. It's true, I don't like the previous video (that I did not "benefit", is also true). When I lecture, it's not to sell things. I know that flies in the face of standard practice, for magic-related lectures, but that's my choice. People have to take their own notes, and I have no "product" for them to take away. My classes involve hard physical labor, and a lot of brain-twisting, learning other ways to look at both physical and performance technique. But then, I don't expect my students to do something that I wouldn't. Class size small, so that my focus isn't spread too thin. I'm not interested in just standing there and talking to an audience. Last session, there were six participants, the most I've ever had. I don't want more. My next scheduled classes are around the third week of June, specific dates TBA. One slot is filled. I'm also thinking of adding some other classes. I like teaching.
