Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering where I could learn the Spirit Cabinet, I'm really interested in putting it in my show!

Suggestions to books would be great!

Take Care

Yes, illusioneer is corrct. Tarbell 6 lesson 80. That will show you some spirit ties. My favorite, the very first one, Gysel's Spirit Tie.
But Tarbel 6 really only shows you the ties, not what to do.
For that you will need Tarbell 8 leson 93.
In there you will find stuff to do with the cabinet.

I just got through doing a run of shows, with the Dead Girl Circus, where I did the spirit cabinet.

One of our members is a ghost, kind of kinky, and likes women.
This was the reason I was tied up. Smile
The routine was first the bell rang... still tied up.
Next pie pans flew out the top.. still tied up.
Next more pie pans... still tied up... but now I have a ball gag in my mouth.
It was a comedy spirit cabinet.

There's a more modern version in the Fogel book.

RandiRain > How many spirit ties does the tarbell lesson teach ?
Is gysel spirit tie the same one DC uses for the barclay house ?
Or is that the Jacob Tie ? Im interested in a similar tie where the ropes go around the neck too after the hands. Most guys doing the spirit cabinet on you tube also use a similar tie ive noticed.

The biography of the Davenport Brothers, who defined the spirit cabinet...

It's worth noting that many of the things they did, had been part of the Shaking Tent Ritual, which was performed by all of the Algonquian-speaking peoples. It's still performed by some. If you do a Google search, you'll find a lot about it.
