A few years ago if you described what I would have done this week I would have laughed.
- Brought Panda boy (100 pound Old English Sheepdog) in for ear cleaning (he has issues with this) and three of us couldn't hold down the bucking muzzled dog. He had to return for full sedation. Panda previously lived in Hong Kong where he was regularly beaten by the 3 kennel workers and has overcome a lot, still has issues with being restrained. - Held Pit Bull in headlock for his vet exam while vet inserted thermometer up "Snoop Dogs" butt. I felt brave as I know not many people could brag about having experienced this. - Had cat with neurological disorder, Pitt Bull and Old English Sheepdog in my van and got stuck in traffic for one and half hours on my way back from the vets. Amazingly, all three sat quietly until I finally arrived at my destination and there was a mad scramble to relieve themselves. All I could think of ..was "wow, it was a good day after all!" Thankfull it wasn't in my van. - called new vet whom I heard has special on microchip clinic. Receptionist mentioned there are 9 appointments left from 1:30 to 3:45 and I could take my pick of any of the appointments. "I'll take all of them," I said. "All of them?", she asked increduously. "Yes, except can I bring in 10 instead of 9?" I'm now looking forward to placing 9 cats including evil hissing feral cat and Pitt Bull in the same vehicle for this appointment. Had to hold not so happy kicking bunny to try to clip matts out of long angora fur. Glad I have all my pets as they certainly relieve stress as they say. Stress Free Chrystal |

How did you and your animals do when they went for their microchips?

That is why I have snakes, cockroaches, millipedes, tarantulas, and scorpions. Much less stressful. Except when they get out...

So much nicer when they don't open their mouths and argue alien epistemology or their take on the media distractions of the moment.

Thanks for asking, Thought Farmer! The appointment is next weekend. If I'm absent from the Café for a while you know I'm probably tending to injured fingers or limbs. (smile)
Chad - Like your avatar! Is the rest of your "friends" body in the closet perhaps and did he/she experience their demise from any of your creatures? Inquiring minds want to know! Jonathan - Ironically I say the same thing about men!!! |
