I run into these guys again and again...and I've been thinking there's a routine there somewhere.
Anyone have anything? |

If you haven't read it yet, check out "The Body Snatcher" by Robert Louis Stevenson:
http://gaslight.mtroyal.ca/body.htm It's also available in "The Haunted Looking Glass," a collection of horror stories edited by Edward Gorey. A fun read too.
That's our departed buddy Burt, aka The Great Burtini, doing his famous Cups and Mice routine

BTW... you said you run into them again and again... what are they doing in Germany? I thought they worked in Scotland...
Enjoy the story; just make sure you get to the ending.

If doing a routine based on the climax of "The Body Snatcher" (read the story or watch the Karloff film version), one could use the Annemann marked card switch (aka Out to Lunch) to great effect.

I understand Burke and Hare's reassembled skeletons are displayed in the pathology museum at the the Royal College Of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Oh sweet irony.
