Bob McAllister created a number of magic effects. These effects appeared in magic publications such as Harry Lorayne’s Apocalypse and The Tarbell Course in Magic. I've wanted this for a long time, and finally I can get it! What do you guys think? |

Looks great! Thanks for the links!
It'd be great to hear how the quality of the props are! Does anyone know? Stay safe guys! Logan

Hi Joe Michaud here, I wanted to give some more information about myself and the effect. I have been performing magic for over 20 years. When I lived in NYC, I took Magic Classes from Bob McAllister for a few years. After Bob passed away I got in contact with his daughters, and they gave me the rights and permission to re-release Bob's effects back to the magic community.
The first effect I decided to release is Bob's Chocolate Chip Cookie Classic. When Bob first released this effect the instructions were 1 page. I completely rewrote and updated the instructions so you now receive a 14 page booklet. I also include a bonus routine you can do using one of the props supplied. The Chocolate Chip Cookie included is specially hand crafted using the very best materials we could find. The original cookies made by Bob were a little fragile if dropped. I was able to produce a more durable product that is very realistic looking and is true to Bob’s original design. I am very excited to bring this effect back to magicians as I have used it on many occasions and it is always a crowd pleaser. If you would like to see Bob McAllister performing The Chocolate Chip Cookie Classic please visit my site http://www.michaudmagic.com Thank You Joe Michaud |

So to be clear, what is it that you get? Do you use real cookies for this or are they all replicas?

Futureal,
I believe the info you're looking for is on the site. You have two options if I'm not mistaken, ending with real cookies or with a bunch of replicas (costs extra). Perhaps Joe can clarify? Stay safe, Logan

Hi Futureal,
As Logan states you can go either way for the ending. The way Bob created it and always ended it was to produce a plate or two of real cookies this is the way I do it. While we were still getting ready to release the effect. BJ Hickman had made the suggestion that some performers might not like the idea of using real cookies and I should consider making replicas of the cookie that comes with the effect so you can produce them at the end. So we decided to do them on a made to order basis and the replicas do cost extra. As it states on my website I really do prefer to end with real cookies and I think the kids do too………….. Included with the effect is a Hand made Special Cookie, The paper bag you need. 14 page instruction booklet and the other goodies that make it all work.... So far I have been getting very good feedback on the effect from people who have purchased it from me. One of the things I have heard a few times from people who have the original is that we have made the cookies a bit bigger still a very realistic size "we base it on a chips ahoy cookie" so that it shows up better for larger audiences. There is more information on my site about the effect http://www.michaudmagic.com Feel free to ask me any more questions I can help with. Thanks Joe |

I just got this and I gotta say I love it already. The cookie looks great the gimmick is perfect. I am adding one little gimick of my own to make it a bit easier for me to perform but I think anyone who enjoys doing kids magic will enjoy using this set its nice.

I was lucky enough to see Bob perform this live a few times.
This is an amazing routine for all ages and about as close to real magic as you are going top get for the kids. I will definitely be picking this one up soon.

I was told by one of my mentors in magic, at a young age, that if you could REALLY do magic then you would not have a card come to the top of the deck or have rope cut in two and back together again...
YOU WOULD PRODUCE FOOD OR MONEY! I knew Bob and man what an amazing and generous man we lost . This routine is as CLOSE to REAL magic as yo can get in the publics mind. WONDERFUL! JM |

If anyone knows Joe, can you please have him respond to my email or my PM? Patiently waiting and keeping my cool, Bryan |

This is a great effect. It's a nice alternative to the Miser's Dream. I got an extra set to have an additional gimmick, which helps free up the handling a bit; you can make an extra gimmick yourself with a single set. I also use a dove pan with a little fire at the end to double the amount of cookies and make a half-pint of milk appear, rather than using the move in the instructions, but McAllister's routine is terrific as written.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

I remember when Bob used to do this for the gang who met every Saturday in New York City. This and Greenwarp were two of my favorite routines that Bob used to perform.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:
