Hi. I'm an unknown amateur from the Detroit area. I used to be a kid professional from age 4 to 12. But I gave it up after going to my first magic convention. My wife is a child care worker, and convinced me to do some tricks for the kids. So now (23 years later), I've taken it up again. I'm pretty hard-core about it now. I carry 2 decks of cards, a TT, an Okito box and a tiny chop cup at all times. I enjoy studying books and videos. Tarbell, Ammar, Wilson, and Columbini are a few of my favorites. Since I returned to magic, I've done 2 shows for a kids with cancer support group. I've been lurking the Café for a couple months now (I use a $20 case from Lowes to prove it).
I also have an offer for Southeastern Michiganders. My wife and I are pretty good actors, and I thought I'd offer our services as stooges. I figured a restaurant worker could make quite an impression if some "strangers" produced say a selected card from inside a sandwich. Or the magician walks to a couple sitting at a centrally located table. A napkin is torn, crumpled, and placed in the center of the table. The Magician causes it to rise. He walks away from the table and the napkin remains floating. The spectators wave their hands all around, it still floats. The magician instructs the female spectator to touch the napkin. When she does it bursts into flames and vanishes. We could set this up over the net, and friends and family wouldn't even know how you did it. Just a thought. I look forward to discussing this odd art of ours, with all of you. -Josh

Thank you all. What a nice welcome!
Jewls: I didn't know about the GardenCity lectures. I'll look into it. THANK YOU Randy: I tried so hard to make a really bad card fan. My fingers just wouldn't let me do it (if your a card worker try it). After doing a messy waterfall (much easier) I picked up the cards as is off the floor for my fan. I came up with smoke after seeing all the cool guys with fire. thanks for seeing the humor. Thanks for the eCoffee Chrystal..slurp mmmmmm Nice to meet you Scott. I'll check out your page right now.
