Mine only gets bader every time I practice the muslce pass.
I am finding out why. That's why I only practice the muscle pass two times a day. More is enough to let my classic palm look like it squeezes an orange. Elliot |

The muscle pass was in a book in the early 20th century ...way before bobo'a was published. I am thinkoing a book published around 1909 but cannot recall the title tonight for some reason. It was also published in Buckley's book on coin magic.
It helped me inprove the muscles in my hand after a fracture and was kinda my physical therapy. I also agree that it only imporves your classic palm. Mobius |

It shouldn't make a difference. If it does, change the spot of one of them. Problem solved.

Is the muscle pass really worth all this work...? I have yet to find a routine that I would use it in, there's always a safer route. That sleight, in my mind, has a high risk of messing you up, ether it works or it doesn't....I don't want to take that chance...call me soft....lol
Does anyone else feel the same???? Tim Please don't take this as me knocking the sleight. In the right hands, it works great, just not my hands....lol The muscle pass does not ruin your CP. Way too much thinking about this, IMHO. Just practice and it all will come together in time. That's the key words, IN TIME. No instant gratification in magic, even the self-working stuff takes a lot of practice to perfect into a nice routine. It takes time, practice and patients. The Captain Tim

Where's the best place to learn the MP? I know that are a couple of DVDs out there, but does anyone have an opinion about which is better?

By far, I would say David Kong's 'The Complete MUSCLE PASS' DVD is one of the better ones.
For sure, don't get Penguin's MP DVD, bad technique being taught there. |

I have done a lot of work on the muscle pass.
I've been able to make coins visually penetrate through a shot glass. (Human Copentro) Make a coin vanish by waving a marker over it -- looks like the Raven! (The Wave Vanish) Cause a coin to visually pass through a spectator's hand (Coin Through Borrowed Hands). Make a Coin Visually come out of a pen cap! (Coin in Marker) Make a silk hanky magically jump from one hand to the other. This is an impromptu Glorpy type of effect (Spirit in the Silk). Reach out with an empty hand and drop a coin in the other hand that is directly underneath it (not sure of the name -- was on my L&L DVD). Make a coin visually pop out of a small Airport size liquor bottle. (Liquid Silver) And this is just the effects I have created, so the Muscle pass has a lot of potential. I have been doing the muscle pass for over 15 years, and my classic Palm is not effected and no cramping or disfigurement. Hope this helps, Joe Rindfleisch

There is a darkside---
When I decided to master this move a made a commtiment not to stop until I got. I practiced for a week. the blood blister popped. I waited for it to heal, which turned into a calouse and then I could do it ever since that time. I hope that further clarifies things. Joe Rindfleisch
